Sobre mí

Currently it's me and my 18 year old daughter that share a smallish 2 bedroom flat in a super nice, green suburb of Stockholm. From early summer and on, our family will grow with my boyfriend and his daughter. Our apartment is 6 min walk from the subway and close to green areas, a small forest and some lakes. The trip to the inner city by subway takes 10-18 minutes, depending on which part you're going to. There are two grocery stores near by. And if you're in to biking you might get to borrow one!

I wrote ONE guest, but sometimes two can squeeze in. Since I often travel alone myself, I prefer to host the lone travellers myself.

We are friendly vegetarians and leftists.

We have a fair amount of friends/guests coming and going most of the time, and we prefer to meet interesting people that share some common interests and values. One guest is optimal, we really don't have very much space, two is doable for a shorter while (right now we have only one extra mattress/couch).

Please read everything (or at least the best parts) and then send me a request if you feel like you'd like to come over! Please NO COPY&PASTE-requests.

I think interacting with other human beings is really the thing for me. Also I´m kinda DIY-person. I have to try to do it (whatever it it is) myself and sometimes I even manage to finish something. I´m quite easy going, interested in culture in general, politics, environmental issues, people, development of a better world, having good time in a low key way.

I´m more left than right, more green than red. More feminist than socialist, more mum than not, love to talk, create, joke, cook, bake, make, walk, whistle, work, write...I´m not a great fan of cleaning (except when I'm visiting someone else, I'm really tidy!), so if dust mites are a problem for you you might be having difficulties staying in my place (4 real) :-). And I love to cook, (if not too worn out), so be prepared.

I love to have visitors, but actually only when I am not too stressed out. It is so nice to have the world visiting me when I can´t visit to the world!

PHILOSOPHY

I want to live my life in peace, love and harmony. Maybe it sounds a bit naive, but I assure, I am not :-)

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will host and couch surf as often as I get the opportunity! Also, I have a teenage-daughter and I travel with her and we have done a fair bit of couchsurfing together.

I am interested on really meeting people and having time for them and time for some cultural exchange in da couchsurfing stylee! But occasionally I also help people who just need a bed over night too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Oh, many many! I have met loads of nice people travelling. I am also member at hospitalityclub.org and been mostly hosting trough that one. Couchsurfing is just awesome...the greatest thing ever!

It´s so nice to meet people that are completely new to you and full of pleasant surprises. I usually travel alone, or with my daughter. An it´s really nice to hang out with some new, nice people and friends to be. That I got well proven in NYC, met so many really really nice CS´s!

Música, películas y libros

The best movie ever is "Me and you and everyone we know". Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, Science of Sleep, Together, Be kind- rewind, love nearly everything by Woody Allen, old Billy Wilder movies, artsy stuff, Kaurismäki, Eagle vs. Shark, Little Miss Sunshine, Ghost World, Desperately Seeking Susan. Actually: a mix of everything. I´m not too picky.

My favorite-books "A winter´s tale" by Mark Helprin, "Middlesex" by Jeffrey Eugenides. Paul Auster, Calixhte Beyala, Hesse...many more.

Music, hmm... Wide range! At the moment Bill Withers, Nina Simone, old soul/funk/jazz...but also indiepop and rock, folk/world-music...and everything in between! It just has to have the swing.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I think that has to be when my daughter was born. Hard to beat that. At home, in candlelight. But every day can bring something pretty amazing with it after all!

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I like to meet people to co-operate with- teach, learn and share! I have many interests and always want a couple of new ones. If you want to learn veggie-cooking without recipes I could teach you some :-)

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

Wicked vegetarian and vegan cooking skills, taking care of animals (have had cats and rodents of all sorts and have some experience on dogs). Talks about the state of the world, help with crafting something maybe?
