Overview
About Me
I am a curious person, who loves peace and calm as well as new experiences. I like to travel slowly in order to get to know the culture and the atmosphere of the place I visit. In 2015 I moved to China for the first time, for a year and a half. I came back in February 2017, and am now living here with my boyfriend and his family in rural Qinghai.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To get a more personal experience while traveling and going new places. When things are settled here in Qinghai, I would also love to host travelers.
Interests
Sustainability, farming, gardening, food production, rural development, human rights, small scale, slow-movement, yoga, photography, day dreaming, vegetarian and vegan food
Music, Movies, and Books
Weird films mostly. I like a variety in music.
My favourite book of all time is called "Kris" ("crisis") and is written by a very inspiring Swedish woman called Karin Boye.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'll give you three: 1) My move to China. 2) I learnt to juggle with three balls. 3) I learn to do a headstand.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn about self-sustainable households, about cooking, gardening, farming etc. But I am generally interested in learning - so whatever you know I would like to know!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a great brainstormer. I do some real good chocolate cake & veggie pizzas, but I haven't yet found the right ingredients in China yet. I'm also great at cuddling cats, walking dogs and playing with pet rats. I'm learning to cook some amazing Chinese food from my mother-in-law, and when I'm confident in doing that I can teach you too!
I can also teach you Swedish.
