About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find Jimmy Hoffa...

ABOUT ME

I studied in Munich for a year and loved it. I started CS since I did a lot of traveling while in Europe.

At the moment:
I just finished my undergrad, taught kindergarten in South Korea for two years, and now back in Bavaria working as an au pair taking German language courses.

About me:
... describing yourself is weird, isn't?

Although, must say I think my recent travels have given me a better understanding about myself. I'd say I have a mixed personality. I can be very chatty, but can enjoy silence with others. I am an extrovert. While I appreciate careful planning and things well thought out, breaking order and being spontaneous can feel liberating too. Could be dancing at a club 'til the break of dawn or have a calm night in with close friends. I enjoy seeing all the "touristy" places of a city but also finding something that only a local is familiar with. I like to laugh-- I do-- I like it a lot. And finally, I didn't realize how much I truly love learning until after graduation. Whether it be book-smarts or common street knowledge, it's something I really fathom.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because no one should feel uneasy when traveling.

Interests

Cliche for CS, but I obviously like traveling and all that stuff that is associated with it. You know, that feeling when you don't know what's around a corner or while you will be in a short amount of time.
Art-- especially folklore culture and art. Photography. Fashion. Design. Cooking. MUSIC, can't live without-- old, new, underground, mainstream, cultural. Singing. Movies. Theater. Dancing to good music. Swing dancing.
Sports-- gymnastics, ice-skating, long distance bike rides, swimming/diving, soccer, and ultimate Frisbee. (dying to do snowboarding, skiing, surfing, and wake-boarding). Watching sports-- die-hard baseball and hockey fan. GO WINGS, GO TIGERS!
Adrenaline rushes.
Being outside. CAMPING. Hard-core camping. In tents, all food cooked over fire, and no TV. Kayaking, canoeing, hiking, climbing, campfires, chilling in hammocks.
Being with friends, hanging out, going out, and meeting new people. Blah, blah, blah.
And sandwiches. I also like sandwiches.

Music, Movies, and Books

Way too much to list here. Maybe I'll edit this later. In the mean time, just ask. Recommendations are nice, too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-I randomly met Henrik Lundqvist V.I.P. in a club in Stockholm.
-I ate a Döner. (I had many of them actually... love them dearly)
-On a two day trip, I climbed Törlspitzen, 2.445 meters in the Wettersteingebirge, in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, border of Germany and Austria. Never felt more accomplished... ever.
-I jumped off a bridge into the river while in Bern, Switzerland.
-Saw a baseball game at Wrigley Field.
-Snorkeled in the coral reef outside of Yucatán, Mexico.
-Met NASA astronaut Terry Virts at my university.
-Some how "metaled" at the Corktown 5k Race.
-This: http://youtu.be/nlzpr_6W_n0
-Visited the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Met amazing people and even some Olympians.
-"Wwoofed" on an organic farm in Bavaria.
-Zip-lined in the mountains of Cebu.
-Slept in a capsual hotel in Osaka.
-Worked at BEES Elephant Santuary/Animal rescue in Chiang Mai, Thailand
