ABOUT ME

In the first chapter of my life, i raised two sons alone while working more than full time and getting my education. So life was quite hectic. My boys are 30 and 27 now and are wonderful: Bright, happy, witty, productive and stable.

Now it's my turn to grow into my own: to travel, to find work I love, to meet new people. Maybe even a partner--who knows what is possible?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to this--I joined in October before my trip to Barcelona and am leaving again for Buenos Aires in two days for 3+ weeks. I will be able to host after i get home in January (although my home is up for sale, i expect it will take a long time to sell).

I read as often as I can: I try to read the Mann Booker award shortlisted novels every year, plus the Pen Faulkner. I have too many favorite authors to list. The same is true for movies, and I enjoy following some of the cable serial dramas. I also like reading novels by travel writers, such as Bill Bryson and J Martin Troost.
