ABOUT ME
I enjoy traveling, good food, good company, and trees. I spent the summer of 2010 kayaking 2300 miles around the border of Minnesota. It was amazing. I learned a lot about myself. I was met with an enormous amount of kindness from strangers. I only hope I can give a bit of that kindness back to a stranger.
My wife and I spent the winter of 2019 sailing our sailboat from Lake Superior to the Bahamas on our honeymoon. We are hoping this is the start of a longterm liveaboard sailing life for us!
PHILOSOPHY
Bad things only happen when good people do nothing.
Life is a trip, dig it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment I am unable to host any surfers as we are constantly traveling and space is limited. I hope to meet up with hosts along the way that are willing to show us around their town.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In the summer of 2010 I slept on a stranger's couch about once a week. These were just people who saw me paddling on the river and struck up a conversation. I was completely blown away. It changed my outlook on life. I am so glad there are people willing to give hospitality to a stranger. The whole experience had an enormously positive effect on me. My goal is to be the person giving the hospitality, since I know how great of a gift it is to the stranger.

Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to make a loaf of bread, knit a scarf, play cribbage, or gin rummy.
I'd like to learn some new card games, a portable instrument (like the harmonica), or some delicious recipes.
