About Me

What about me? :) It's not easy but anyway, I try... I'm an eternal student and a freelance journalist. I'm a man suspended in mid air, slightly eccentric and chaotic :), overly curious, a great reader and love to write, hiking, travel (yes, it's tautologic!), languages and cultures of peoples, philosophy, cats but especially meeting new people and listening their stories. I think we can only improve ourselves through the knowledge of the peoples. I'm of Jewish heritage, and this has led me, maybe, to be more sensitive to the "stranger" and always to fight against all forms of oppression. In addition to considering traveling with nomadic spirit, finding myself anywhere and nowhere at home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it's a great way to get to know new people, take inspiration for new ideas, and improve foreign languages.
Since April 2012, I have met many people visiting their city through CouchSurfing, and I hosted many people in my house, since April 2012.

Interests

My interests are cultural anthropology, literature, everything that matters jewish world, middle east, and Mediterranean cultures. But generally, there are fews things that I don't care about.

  • literature
  • hiking
  • anthropology
  • history
  • languages
  • philosophy
  • middle east
  • ethnology
  • jewish culture

Teach, Learn, Share

I could tell you something about the history of my city, crossroads of nations and peoples, and advice you the best places here.

I can share with you my experiences and my knowledge, and to teach you some words of bagitto (the jewish dialect of Livorno) and Ladino (the judeo-spanish). :)

Above all, I can make for you a really great Italian espresso!
