Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started couchsurfing last year when I left the Sunshine Coast in Australia to travel up north the East Coast...I hosted once but surfed mostly. I made overall positive experience and even made some friends along the way...Im glad and thankful that this website exists since I met so many great people! What I like so much about CS is that its so much more personal than staying anonymous in a hostel with many other tourists, getting to know locals, seeing and experiencing the place through their eyes...

Interests

Travelling, exploring the USA at the moment, good red wine, going out, meeting new and interesting people from all over the world, exercising in the gym, healthy and good food, practicing Spanish, dancing Salsa, sharing travel-stories, horseback riding, adventurous trips with a 4WD...

Music, Movies, and Books

Love good movies - its a shame though I havent watched Lord of the Rings since I been to New Zealand for 3 months, still on my bucket list. Louis CK is one of my favourite stand-up comedians...Friends is probably my favourite TV show. Great movie which Im still about to finish is Dallas Buyers Club...thats what happens when you are travelling, running out of time or Wifi and then continue the movie weeks later..haha.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Gave away my company, split up with my boyfriend, moved out, sold my furniture and my car and started travelling...one of the best decisions I could have made :-)

Teach, Learn, Share

Im curious about the different slangs...been to UK, Australia, New Zealand and now in the USA...all of the countries have their individual words, sayings and expressions, but still everyone knows what you mean. My English might be messed up a little...haha
