About Me

Hello, World Explorers!

I'm Nikita Novikov, a 23-year-old spirit with a zest for life and sound. Last year, fate led me from my homeland, torn by war, to a new beginning in the heart of Germany. I've found my sanctuary in Berlin, where I'm immersing myself in the world of sound engineering at the Institute for Creative Arts and Technology (Catalyst at Funkhaus Berlin).
My days are a blend of creativity and technical exploration. Whether it's weaving stories through film scoring or crafting euphonic tracks in a recording studio, every project is a new adventure in sound for me. I'm constantly on the lookout to learn and experiment in all areas of sound and music production.

Music is the language of my soul, a journey that keeps me dreaming and reaching for the stars. It's not just a career choice for me; it's the essence of who I am. Beyond the notes and tunes, I'm an ardent believer in the power of connections and conversations.. I thrive in the company of friends, old and new, sharing stories, laughs, and the occasional culinary adventure, and the depth of heartfelt conversations, or the simple pleasure of making new friends.

But why should the journey end here? The world is a mosaic of cultures, landscapes, and tales waiting to be discovered. My quest is to experience the vast beauty and diversity of our planet, to embrace different cultures, and to witness the marvels of nature and human ingenuity.

Through CouchSurfing, I'm eager to weave my story into the tapestry of global narratives, to learn from you, to share my passion for sound and life, and to create memories that resonate across continents. Let’s embark on this journey of discovery and connection together.

I can't wait to meet you and share in the adventure that CouchSurfing promises. Here's to the stories we'll tell and the memories we'll create!

Warm regards, Nikita

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Embarking on an unforgettable journey aboard the ROALD AMUNDSEN, a Sailing Vessel, I traversed the Baltic Sea, a voyage that felt like entering a different universe. This experience was a profound departure from the familiar, revealing a world where the rules were written by the sea and the sky.

Amidst this vast expanse, I was graced with the most luminous stars, sunrises, and sunsets — celestial spectacles that seemed to redefine beauty itself. They were not just visual feasts but soulful experiences that connected me to the grandeur of the cosmos.

The heart of this adventure, however, was the essence of teamwork. Working in unison to maneuver the sails, powered solely by the wind, was a dance with nature. This harmony of human effort and natural force was a powerful reminder of our place in the world — small yet significant, individual yet interconnected.

Sailing the Baltic Sea was more than a physical journey; it was a passage through the tapestry of life, where the simplest acts mirrored the most profound truths. This voyage was an exploration of the world outside and the universe within.

Teach, Learn, Share

In the spirit of sharing, I bring the rich flavors of my homeland to the global table. I can share cherished recipes of Ukrainian cuisine, handed down from my mother, each dish woven with stories of our culture. Imagine savoring the heartwarming borscht or the festive pampushky, while I unfold tales of Ukraine's resilient spirit, its soulful people, and the breathtaking beauty of its landscapes.

As a sound engineer and musician, I delve into the artistic realms of Ableton, creating symphonies of digital sound. I am eager to share this knowledge, guiding you through the maze of music production, where every beat and note is a step towards your own musical masterpiece.
