About Me

CURRENT MISSION

IG: nickwang14
Mission is to see the world, be athletic and kick butts in competition :)

ABOUT ME

Athlete, Student, Adventurer.

Currently in Bangkok Thailand. Here to train and fight and have a good time (:

I've stayed in my little corner of the world for most my life. Occasional travels to Disneyland, or Cuban resorts for spring break with my parents or a trip to France with my school have all maxed out at about one week long. otherwise, going to China to visit family is the extent of the travel I have done up until this year.

My time in Australia/New Zealand is over, but I definitely will go again. There are many things I have yet to see and lots of fellow travelers I promised to meet again.

In Australia, I've had cool experiences from working in a restaurant or moving fish from the fish market to processing forms for the government of New South Wales (a state in Aus).

Ive seen beautiful beaches, swam in the 'cold' waters of Australian winters and seen mountains and waterfalls. I went diving at the Great Barrier reef, pissed off a shark and ran out of air underwater (thankfully close to the boat and not too deep).

My first experience with Couchsurfing was through my Australia trip and was very positive. I hope that the rest of the world will be as nice, and I definitely plan to travel lots.

I DO indeed host on occasion in my home city of Ottawa, but not openly on CS, I feel much more comfortable meeting someone first and when we reconnect, I will do my VERY best to make sure you are taken care of and ensure you enjoy your stay in Canada.

Interests

I am an adrenaline junkie, not to say I enjoy risking my life.

But good hobbies of mine: Snowboarding, Wakeboarding, scuba diving, Muay Thai (Thai Boxing), Brazilian Jiujitsu (on and off).

I’m a hobbyist photographer and I’m here to grab photos of my experiences and the beautiful people I meet (:

On the list are: Bungee, Skydive, Sandboarding, Kite boarding, Learning to back flip! Surfing?

Done on the list:
Skydive, Scuba diving, Whitewater rafting, mountaineering

I'd like to learn and do a lot more, so suggestions are also always open!

Music, Movies, and Books

Most anything appeals to me.
Sherlock, Big Bang Theory, Top Gear, Silicon Valley, Game of Thrones, Suits, How I Met Your Mother, Greys Anatomy, House, just press play and you'll lose me for an episode lol.

Movies include anything with Russell Crowe, Leonardo DeCaprio, Robin Williams (Rip), Robert Downey Jr, older Adam Sandler movies (Mr Deeds, Big Daddy, Click, etc), Marvel, DC Comics, Transformers, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, and lots more.

I listen to any music except stuff that might lean too heavy with screaming. Give me soft rock, hard rock, rap, hip hop, classical, alternative, rnb, electro, house, country and if I don't know it, I'll probably still like it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been to a few cool places:
Forbidden City, Biodome (montreal), Great Wall, Niagra Falls, CN Tower (toronto), Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Sacre Coeur, Monaco Grand Prix Stadium.

But the thing that still has caught my attention the most is sitting on a tiny little island with my best friends and enjoying the weather. Or watching the campfire and eating marshmallows at night.

Can't beat your friends.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm friendly and have tons of stupid stories! I can clean, cook (mediocre meals, I'm always willing to learn), help around the house, I'm good with kids, fun to talk to, polite and courteous, and interested to listen and learn about pretty much anything.

I'm also a good drinking buddy if need be, but I warn you, I don't drink often: lightweight! but I'm still fun to have around :P

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m a semi professional photographer and would be able to snap some nice pics for you and your place! First impressions matter and a nice looking picture is always nice to have.
