About Me

I am a human being on a quest to give thanks to the universe. I strive to accept myself, those around me, and all circumstances I encounter with the belief that love and gratitude can make a home for all beings in the universe. I enjoy expressing myself through music, engaging with other beings, making space for infinity in my life, and learning about myself. I use they/them pronouns.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet people and revel in cultural diversity without the intrusion of money!

Interests

I am interested in living my life with the smallest amount of money and reliance on the global industrial superstructure possible, building community around the struggle to escape domestication in capitalist society, and having fun while doing it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I left Oberlin College after three semesters because I felt the institutionalized direction of my life draining me away from myself. After living in MA for a month to check out UMass Amherst’s agriculture program, I went to work-trade on an off-grid ranch in AZ. While there, I decided not to rush back to school if I’m going to go at all. I lived there for three months, basking in the energy of community, sand, drought tolerant plants, earthbag building, the sun, fibrous adobe building, my tent, and the mountains. After all signs suddenly pointed to anywhere but there, I drove cross country with a friend from the ranch to visit my family in NJ. I’ve started my journey!

Teach, Learn, Share

Any engagement with another being offers infinite opportunity to teach and learn. I would love to have some long conversations with you as well as your potted plant! More practically, I can teach you how to use a camera, and how to use Adobe Photoshop, Indesign, and Premiere Pro. Closer to my heart, I can teach you how to gain some basic theoretical frameworks on which you can build some rhythmic fluency (I can teach you how to play the drums!). I want to learn all there is to know about maintaining an off grid homestead, cob building, and regenerative agriculture/generally becoming more connected to the natural processes which fuel life and less reliant on the hegemonic corporate power structures which keep people alive in order that they continue to consume toxic products.

What I Can Share with Hosts
