About Me

To enjoy life and share good experiences with people I care about

ABOUT ME

A guy who likes to read, hike, visit concerts. Mountains are my second home, although I don't spend as much time there as I would like. Family is always first. Would be lost without friends as well. Really enjoy working with children, social worker by occupation. A local tourist guide. Used to train football and basketball in primary school. Manchester United and Barcelona fan. Also enjoy big time watching handball.
Am a member of amateur theater and puppet theater group. Did some improv stuff in the past.
I love going to the movies. The small art ones with mostly non Holywood production, that is. Have luck that we have one in Celje, where I rarely miss a film.
Recent Corona pandemic gave me a chance to work as a volunteer for civil defense, where I got to help eldery who were endangered and advised to stay home. So I picked up their meds in pharmacy and did grocery shopping for them. Really a heartwarming experience.
Enjoy showing people around my beautiful country.
Oh, yes: I love animals, although I don't have a pet. But been surrounded with dogs and cats all my life.

PHILOSOPHY

Interests

Books, nature,music. Sports.

Music, Movies, and Books

Used to be a big metalhead and still don't mind putting on a CD from those days ( Metallica, Death, My Dying Bride, Slayer, Pantera...). Othervise I like indie and post rock ( Editors, Bloc Party, Libertines, Babyshambles, The Thermals, Arcade Fire, Joy Division, Interpol, The National, Russian Circles, Red Sparrowes, Mogwai, If These Trees Could Talk, Leech...) and folk music ( Leonard Cohen, Joan Baez, Simon & Garfunkel, Kladivo Konj & Voda ). I enjoy classical music as well.

Nick Cave is a divine gift to the music.

I love books. All kinds. Read a lot of Vonnegut, Auster ( Brooklyn follies is one of my favorites ) Tolkien ( am a huge fan ) and also Harry Potter. If I had to pick two books that I would read again at any time they would probably be "Bridge on Drina" by Ivo Andrich and "The Moor's last sigh" by Rushdie. Javier Marias is an author every serious reader should have in his collection. "Your face tomorrow" blew my mind when I read it. Classic!!

Am a movie fan too. My favorites are "Good Will Hunting" "As good as it gets", "Kolja" and "Good bye,Lenin". An everlasting memory from childhood is "Goonies." "Into the wild" and "Broken circle breakdown" also made a strong impression on me. "Bladerunner" is on my list every year.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was a counselor in camp for kids, diagnosed with ADD/ADHD in Michigan for three summers in a role. Got a lifetime experiences, memories and friends there. Would give anything to go back and do it again.
