About Me

I'm a "go with the flow" type of person but keep myself and my own things organized. I love to learn and read and hike.

I don't smoke anything, and I am generally clean and neat.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm at a point in my life where I have more freedom to explore places and the opportunity to travel more frequently. Since I don't have well-paying full-time jobs, any way to save money, meet cool people, and see awesome places is of interest.

Interests

I'm a botanizer everywhere I go, studying the plant life I see. I like art, nature, musicals, and sarcasm. Dinosaurs.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: every Michael Crichton book; Howl's Moving Castle trilogy (Diana Wynne Jones); Winnie-the-Pooh (A.A. Milne); classic naturalist essays

Movies: musicals, anything with Tina Fey (why is there no "TV Shows" section here? I'd pick 30 Rock), any Miyazaki film, most Disney classics, Easy A, Mean Girls, White Chicks, The Fountain, dystopian future stories, documentaries about nature and food, any dinosaur movie

Music: most (musicals, film scores, classical, rock, indie, folk, pop, hip hop, 50s, 20s, dance, whatever)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was successfully in a relationship for over two years: most challenging thing I've done, and I'm proud of myself for what we had accomplished.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know too many nature games, team building activities, songs, skits, you know, things you teach to and learn from elementary and middle schoolers at camps. I love to share what I know about plants, the LGBT+ community, natural history, and musicals. I like learning about plants, languages, others' life experiences, music, art, and so many more. Let's sing songs, play games, and have fun!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can make delicious vegetarian meals. I am respectful of others' needs and conscientious enough to identify them in the first place. I can share my appreciation for diversity and nature.

Countries I’ve Visited
