ABOUT ME

I live in Long Island City with my wonderful fiancee Adrienne, whom I met at a Couchsurfing dinner!

Long Island City is just to the "right" of Manhattan. We live near Court Square, which is one stop from Manhattan on the E or the M trains, or three stops on the 7 train. It's also the last stop for the G train. We're also about a 7-minute walk from the Queensborough Plaza stop for the N and Q trains, or the Queens Plaza stop for the R train.

I'm originally from a small city in Canada and moved to NYC in May of 2009. Very much still exploring this (fantastic!!!) city.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used to host quite a bit but now don't really have room for it, so instead Adrienne and I host weekly "potluck dinners" at a huge room in our apartment building. (Potluck = everyone brings some food and drink item to share with everyone else.) It's a great way to connect with other Couchsurfers in a very casual (and cheap!) environment. You should come!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I found out about and joined Couchsurfing in December 2009. Since then I've had 30 or so guests come through, and I've met many other Couchsurfers by hosting these weekly potluck dinners. I met my fiancee through Couchsurfing!!
