ABOUT ME

Left home at 19, drove all accross Canada. This trip ended with me going to China to teach english in 2003. Since then, I have been in love with asia and the world. I started a company in Shanghai in 2007. Moved to Japan in 2008. Then back to Shanghai, and I am now living in Macau, although I spend most of my time travelling for my work. So far this year I spent 3 weeks home and the rest somewhere in Europe or Asia. I have spoken chinese for about 6 years and am now fluent at it.

PHILOSOPHY

-There's good and bad people everywhere, you just gotta figure it out yourself.
-We shouldn't judge a book by it's cover.
-Life has to be lived, not suffered in a cubicle.
-Money is only in your head. How much you have doesn't mean what you're worth.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Besides giving you a place to stay when I have a place, I like to meet up with other surfers over a meal and show them around. I also organize lots of dinners in Macau. I'm all about meeting new people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far it's been awesome. From the people who hosted me to all the surfers who stayed with me in China and Japan or agreed to meet me in several countries. I think Couchsurfing is the best way to travel and get to meet interesting individuals.

Interests

Sports: I love rock climbing. I have fell in love with the sport. It is so psychologically and physically intense. It is not about competition but about self accomplishment. That's how sports are for. Besides this, I love Yoga, Snowboarding, Swimming, etc.

I also love writing. I play electric guitar. Love making short movies, enjoy cooking and eating, meeting people. Basically I love PEOPLE, ARTS and SPORTS.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite traveling book is The Beach. I also love Seth Godin's marketing books. They changed my life.

As for music, I love rock n roll music. My favorite musician would be Jimi Hendrix and John Frusciante, but I really enjoy anything with electric guitars.

Movies: I love the inglorious basterds. It is so good on many levels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to climb mountain Fuji twice.

Rode a motorbike through the 2200 curbs on the road from Chiang Mai to MaeHongSon.

I have seen the ruins of Bagan, definately worth seeing.

Visited Tibet by myself at 19.
