About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Experience the World! See what God has created.

ABOUT ME

I love to hear people's stories... Life, Travels, God, Adventure...

Life is so good.

I've been in Chicago for the last 4 years, studying and enjoying the city life. I can't wait to travel more!

PHILOSOPHY

Don't follow me. Follow Jesus.

Live it up! I want to finish the race knowing that I have nothing left to give. That it's all on the road behind me.

Bring me that Horizon.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Host, Surf, Spread the Word

I recently completed a 9 month bicycle trip from Ushuaia Argentina to Lima, Peru with 3 of my best friends, and finished it by traveling solo through Bolivia, Brazil, and Paraguay with a backpack.

My friend said, "I never know what's going to happen when I'm with you." I am honored by that.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Best: I was biking around America during Christmas and was really lonely, freezing, hungry, and downtrodden. This old couple noticed my eyes full of tears of self-pity and took me in for Christmas. It was a life-altering experience.

Interests

Learning, Bicycling, Exploring, Seeing it all, Sailing, Science! Being active gets me high. Smiling, Reading, Meeting new people, Learning some more.

Music, Movies, and Books

Walden, The Brothers Karamazov, CS Lewis, Tarzan of the Apes! Moby Dick. I can't remember. I like them all.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in Antartica, we were floating on a raft near some blue icebergs, and this huge gray humpback whale breeched ~50 yards away!

Lived on an island with no food for a week.

Teach, Learn, Share

I remember being complimented by an older man I respected. He said, "That is the sign of a good man," to me when I was very young, complimenting something I had done. It meant so much more for him to say that, assuring me I would be a good man, than for him to just say, "Good job for doing that thing." He complimented Me, not my action. It had a great impact on my life.
