[Though it is nice to get a custom/genuine couch request, I understand sometimes as a traveler you don't have that much time to write a dedicated couch requests and have to cut and paste. So cut and paste requests will be tolerated if you have an awesome profile with tons of references. Otherwise, you have to work harder!:-)]

I am always undergoing some kind of metamorphosis, so I change a lot, physically and mentally, sometimes it feels as if I am reincarnating without dying. And I feel I am evolving in the right direction, and that is all that matters. I have lived most of my life with the mentality of "I will be happy, when I get xxxx", but that had made me miss many things in life, so I am now trying my best to live and enjoy every day, as if it is my last. A cliche, I know, but it is true.

The past few years, I have been traveling a lot, and I want to travel even more in the future. Hopefully, in the coming few years, I will have enough courage and some money saved to just hit the road for about a year or two.

Recently, I did a 200hr hot yoga teacher training. So if I end up hosting or being hosted by you, I have to use you as my guinea pig to practice my teaching!:-)

PHILOSOPHY

It doesn't mean I live this way at the moment, but that is what I aspire to.

My current obsessions are stand up comedy (mostly watching, but I have tried a couple of open mics and hope to do more) and the impact of social media/technology in our lives (reading list: "Team Human", "Survillenance capitalism", "The twittering machine"). Almost turning into a luddite. Quite hypocritical of me, as I am a research engineer working on future wireless technologies.

Edit (2024):I started doing standup regularly since moving to Montreal in 2021. And now I am a regular at the English comedy scene in Montreal. I also had the pleasure of performing in Athens, Seoul, Tokyo and Bangkok. Netflix special in a couple of years, stay tuned !🤞🤞

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I lost my CS virginity in August 2009, in Berlin, and I must say it was one hell of an experience!:-) Also in September, I surfed few days again, also in Berlin...then followed amazing experiences in New york, Taiwan and Japan. All my experience so far has been wonderful, and I have made so many good friends through couch surfing!

And what a pleasure it is to find out that everywhere I go, behind the mere differences in skin color and languages, we have so much in common.

I am crazy about running, so if you are into running, make sure you pack your running clothes/shoes, cause would be great to go out for a run together.

I love dancing, and I have tried salsa/batchata for a bit..only problem, I never done them consistently and it seems I have about ten slots in my memory for learning new choreography, so I keep forgetting what I learned the last time :-( but have started eating a lot of fish trying to improve my memory!:-)

I used to love writing stuff (mostly poems) but have not written anything the past few years. It would be great to get started again, and maybe even start writing short stories. So any writers out there, promise you a wonderful breakfast in bed if you share some secrets:-)

And I think there is something that I can learn from everybody.
