ABOUT ME

I'm currently living back in my hometown of Spokane, WA working as an account manager for a local advertising agency. On the side I have been working (and occasionally performing) with several local performance arts troupes around town since returning home about four years ago.

I have an educational background in International Relations and have engaged in extensive travels abroad as part of my studies and for pleasure. This includes two semesters of service learning based study abroad in Siena, and Quito and Galapagos Islands, Ecuador in 2013/14. I have also studied and lived in Florence, Italy for four months in 2005, and in Thailand for about five months total during 2008/09, and taught English at a school in Shenzhen during the summer of 2013. During those periods I spent time traveling to about 20 other countries in Europe, Asia, and South America .

I hope to continue expand my travels to other areas of the world in the near future and discover more about cultures from around the globe. I guess what that means for those that I meet on Couchsurfing is that I'm very welcoming of people of all shapes, sizes, gender, sexuality, races, cultures, faiths, etc. and am very interested in meeting as many unique people as I can from around the world and having a chance to share some memorable life experiences.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After completing my masters coursework, I recently moved back to my hometown of Spokane, WA to regroup and figure out the next step of my life. I cannot currently host, but am saving to buy a home sometime in 2019 and will be welcoming guests again then.

Otherwise, I would be more than happy to spare a couple/few hours to be a guide and introduce you to some cool people and places around the city.

AS A SURFER:

I'd like a chance to meet as many interesting people from around the world as I possible can during my travels. If somebody is willing to let me couchsurf with them during my future travels I promise to be a respectful and considerate guest.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have surfed once and hosted on a few occasions and have so far enjoyed my experiences. I look forward to having more later in life.

I LOVE TO TRAVEL AND EXPLORE THE WORLD!!! But of course that's one of the main reasons to be on here in the first place isn't it...

Aside from that I'm really into film and music, especially attending live concerts. My last job was as a craft cocktail bartender, so I enjoy good drinks and trying interesting alcohols, as well great beer and delicious food from cuisines of all types.

Meeting new people from all cultures and walks of life is an important interest of mine as well because it not only provides me with an opportunity to experience life though eyes other than my own, but it gives me the chance to form friendships without borders and have unique connections around the world.
