About Me

Hello, I´m Patricio. First of all. I´m really bad talking about myself. I’m a hard believer of the motto “Show don’t tell”. But well, as I’ve read a lot of my future hosts will look at this hoping I’m no murderer/ rapist/ psyco. Here are some facts about me:

A lot (if not everyone) of people close to me calls me PATO in Spanish that means duck, I thinks that is weird for people that don’t speak the language. But it is pretty common that some called Patricio is nicknamed Pato.
I always try to make people around me comfortable. Making a joke or a comment about what is going around. In Spanish it’s quite natural. But I’ve discovered in English and other languages it isn’t that simple and most people (including myself) don’t get the joke.

When I was 17 one movie changed my life “Schindler’s list” it made me feel art. I was aware that cinema was considered an art, but never quite understood it. It was when I saw that movie that something inside me woke up and made me realize cinema is an art. As you may be thinking, since then I’ve loved cinema and watch as many movies as I can. I still have a long way to go (a pretty ling way), but one day I hope I can watch a lot of movies so I can get most references to film culture. (PS, don’t ask me about Orson Wells or Kubric, I’m saving their movies for a special occasion).

I depend a lot on my glasses, that’s why I don’t practice a lot of sport. I am pretty goofy and clumsy.
I’m pretty stubborn (not in a wrong/ harassing way). You can call it determination. I think a lot before deciding something. But when I do everything I can to achieve it. Hate what ifs.

Love knowing new people I’m a little reserved at first, I am leaded by the idea that we have two ears and one mouth so we must listen twice as much as we speak. When I get into confidence I tend to talk more.

Just as an extra. Mexico/ Mexicans are not as showcased in COCO or in Hollywood we are so much more. Hope you can see a Little of that with me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m in coachsurfing because I want to know the world corner to corner, I believe the best way is by knowing more people and what is better than knowing locals that are willing to open their homes and themselves to strangers. Thank you, all of you who make this a wonderful opportunity to know more people and most importantly make new friends.
At the moment I’m not accepting guest because life’s a mess, but as soon as I get back to Mexico and put everything in order I will open home to people all over the world
