Am a very gregarious person who lives life to the full. Have been in London for 27 years and go back home when I can. Proximity to Europe and much of the world is great from here.

Love spending time with friends exploring different parts of London, a never ending journey, love finding new food, recipes etc. Enjoyed the discovery of growing things during lockdown despite the isolation. I have a garden with a Tasmanian eucalyptus gunnii in it! So not homesick at all.

Have been over much of the UK with bell ringing which is a hobby I picked up in Brisbane when I started singing full time. A great way to get a feel for a town: the church and the pub after !

No longer sing full time but keep it up at weekends. Have an office job behind the Tate modern, convenient for a bit of lunchtime mooching.

One of my best times was 2 months on Iona when I first arrived in the UK. Sea, sun, Scottish dancing! Lovely people, history.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I often need to go places for bellringing or sometimes just for an exploration, where all I need is a bed. I have a friend in Tasmania who has been hosting for years and she meets so many interesting people.

Am not in the position to return the favour at the moment unless couch cushions on the floor are acceptable, but will be at some point soon. I'd be very happy to meet people and show them around etc

I enjoy getting to know people and spending a bit of time chatting, socialising along the way.

Happy to slot in with the household but may well be a ship passing in the night depending on why I am visiting .
