Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To be fully open to beauty around me and in people
ABOUT ME
I'm a sunny, happy, sensitive kind of person. Friendships are very important to me ! And light in the trees at dusk... and so many things.
PHILOSOPHY
Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
Live simply,
Love generously,
Care deeply,
Speak kindly.
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...
It's about learning to dance in the rain.
(I borrow this quote from a friend's friend, because it is very much my own philosophy!)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love the spirit of CS, and I try to be a good host !
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first CS experience was meeting some wonderful people during a trip to Italy for a tea or a drink... Thank you, Gaia, Etienne and Leo, for giving a whole new meaning to my travels. Since then I have hosted surfers from various places and each time it was truly rewarding!
Interests
The way every tree holds up its branches to the light in a different way...
How small and important things can be revealed in a face if we pay attention...
Being touched by somebody's art that makes us see the world as it really is: deep and true.

Music, Movies, and Books
Ah... way too many good things to mention !
Goran Tunstrom is one of my favorite writers, though. And Eudora Welty. Also Nicolas Bouvier, of course: L'usage du monde.
Acoustic guitar is a must, all acoustic strings actually: oud, pipa, zheng... Also: a capella singing, Bach, Cat Stevens, Feist, Jean-Louis Murat, Zachary Richard...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One evening, while I was sitting on the Mont-Royal and watching the moon rise, a lovely, light-footed young fox came right up to me and started nibbling my shoelaces :o) Hey, little friend...
Teach, Learn, Share
This summer I would like to learn (and practice) rock-climbing, and in the near future get some notions of Brazilian (I have always thought it is a lovely sing-song language) and Swedish (same thing :o)
I guess I could share some of my experiences about drawing and painting (like how to really "see" your subject)... and my famous hot cocoa secret recipe (I have to show you, can't explain over the Internet :o)
