About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Proactive pursuit of happiness. Realigning my passions for meeting good people, a constant exposure to music and arts with my vocation.

ABOUT ME

New to the city, a native North Carolinian. I have a strong interest in music and the arts, and after roughly 5 years of working in remote areas of national forests all over the country, I'm ready and willing to plant some roots in an area that is thriving. Networking is a key priority, and I'm a fun-loving and friendly guy. My recent vocation had fallen into a "living to work" mentality, so now I have begun to take my pursuit of happiness more seriously, but not too seriously (:

Apparently I'm freakin adorable. Apparently the whole I'm a 30 year-old grown-ass man thing wasn't working out.

Interested in volunteer/nonprofit work, currently exploring opportunities to help underprivileged communities and those with physical and/or mental disabilities in PDX.

I have not felt this alive in a very long time.

PHILOSOPHY

We are nothing if not flying fish out of water under the sights of a sore barrel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

New to the site and the experience, and I have little to offer for housing others at this time, but looking to get established so that I can reciprocate!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Very little thus far, by and large with close friends for a couple nights at a time.

Interests

Reading, writing, drawing. Listening to music. Lots of it. Museums, films, hiking, cycling, swimming. Night life and concerts. Coffee, tea. Conscious living.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Countless beautiful moments captured on forest fires from 2008-2012 spread over 16 states. Fire in it's natural form is an incredible force that is a constant reminder of the humility I hold towards nature.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a rather incredible cook, so I'm told. I also love to keep my thumbs green, and have a knack for organization and cleaning. I am more than happy to share these skills with anyone interested in hosting me, or anyone else for that matter.
