About Me

A lot has happened in my life so to summarise it in an 'about me' is fairly far fetched. When I was 17 I left to travel Europe for a 6 weeks and ended up staying for a year. I guess you could use that piece of information to define a lot of who I am. The part's that don't get explained in those brief few words is that I adore the arts and the way they make people feel. I really love to learn, whether that be about you, or cultures, societies, races, history, religions- the whole deal. I'm a chatter and I can guarantee you that I will get way too carried away- but I do love to listen as well- which a lot of people might not second me on! I love a good story. I have met a lot of people in my life, from all different ethnicities, backgrounds, cultures, families and lives. The thing that I have taken away is that everyone has their own story, and if you take the time to be fearless and open yourself up to people, you get to meet some pretty awesome humans! I know that there is 7 billion people in this world but if I could touch the mind's of everyone- I would do that in a heartbeat. Aside from the babble, I actually enjoy meeting like minded people and some of my closest friends have entered my life through 2 minute conversations somewhere in the world. I love climbing mountains and taking the road less travelled. I'm just experiencing it all and am seeing where it takes me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To be honest, I just love to connect and have some friendly banter. I'm always meeting new people, this app just makes it 20 times more easier! Plus I've had some of the best experience by sleeping on people's couch so I want to give back!

Interests

My interests would include music, I love playing guitar and singing. I'm interested in physics and modern science, as well as all of the creative arts. I really adore film and television and I love to capture vulnerable moments of people- actually that's such an amazing thing to witness, I'm sure most of you have sat at airports and watched those reunions or departures- I bet you leave feeling something. when I was in Switzerland I also played this game called speedminton which was so hectic- it's now one of my favourite things to do.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can pretty much fall in love with every style of music, except I have to hear it- not literally but metaphorically, it has to leave feeling something from the piece of music. To be honest, i'm a sucker for rom-com's, and movies that change your view on things. I watched Age of Adeline when I was bored one day- I don't think I've ever been more thrown by a movie before. I also love comedy- a good Kevin Hart cameo never lets me down. I'm a fanatic about books that leave you thinking, some may be scientific, inspirational or just a made up story, however, as long as I'm left thinking then it doesn't really matter. Also some of the best books you find in the weirdest places.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done many amazing things, and some of them are so cliché. However, sometime somethings are more amazing to some people then they are to others, and in saying that one of the most amazing things I've done probably has to be when I skied for the first time in the Swiss Alps. Oh my gosh, that country blows my mind.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn and I love to teach. I don't know a lot, but what I do know may be interesting. My all time favourite thing is conversing with someone, and as long as I'm able to do that then I have fulfilled my life goal. I'm super open with my life, and I respect people if they are open with me. I could chat to someone about the most random things for hours on end. I can share my views on things and I'd love to hear anything that you have to offer. I can give you tips on web design and cinematography, but would enjoy reciting Shakespeare just as much.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm happy to help out around the house or cook you a meal, as long as I get to spent some quality time. I'm happy to share experiences and memories as well as listen to them as well. I'm a very open person and I would love to get to know some like minded people. I'm happy to share with people skills in nutrition, natural healing, computer problems and English (if you're wanting to learn).
