Über mich

Please note, that I don't host people who didn't read my profile.

ABOUT ME

Just look ahead and think - the road you are looking at can lead you anywhere you want, to any place in the world. It's just a one strip of spagetti streched on the map. You just have to stand on its edge, stick your thumb out and trust your fate. You don't know where you will end up this evening, where you will be sleeping, what people you will meet on your way, the only thing you know is that you're totally free. And now imagine that every driver who stops his car (honestly - I am always suprised when somebody stops. I have no idea what makes these people to give me a lift.) has a story to tell. Exciting? I bet. Leave your worries behind you, open your mind and your heart and let it be.

That's how I feel about hitch-hiking. As everybody knows it has a love affair with couchsurfing. So I am in relationship with couchsurfing as well and we have a nice threesome altogether :).

If I needed to picture my life now, it would probably also look like a strip of spaghetti. Or rather the whole pot of spaghetti strips tangled with each other. I graduated from the Art High School in Gdynia (specialization of ceramics), I lived in London, I did a six-month volunteering stint in Georgia (the country in Caucasus, not the state), studied one semester of Persian philology and now I've started studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, wondering where the spaghetti strip will lead me.

Apart from making such deep metaphores I also spread bad jokes all over the world. My listeners after a great dose of my humour wither and slowly die or get depressed.

I get too much trash requests so if you want to be our guest include in your request a youtube link to a good song in your mother language.

(your song will join the playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLDge6THjor-CMi5-nTrqWtd6feN66w4t0&feature=mh_lolz)

SURFERS, THIS IS NOT A JOKE. SEND ME A SONG. NO SONG NO COUCH :P.

PHILOSOPHY

"Regard everything that happens to you on your journey (/in your life) as a clue and accept everyone you meet along the way as a teacher"

“I am the sum total of everything that went before me, of all I have been seen done, of everything done-to-me. I am everyone everything whose being-in-the-world affected was affected by mine. I am anything that happens after I'm gone which would not have happened if I had not come.”
-Salman Rushdi

“The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.”
― Ch. McCandless

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I sadly need to note that this question should change to "Why am I STILL on Chouchsurfing". CS has been a wonderful community, a window to the World which through enabling meeting with locals would change travels into something deeper and more meaningful. I need to admit that I owe many wonderful acquaintances and moments to this website. Currently though I am sickened how impudently it bombards me with slogans, convincing me that if I pay, I am gonna be a better member of it. What the fuck? This is not where the beauty of this idea laid. This is ugly. I don't give a damn whether you are verified and I will not do it myself. This community is dying and that's why it makes me wonder lately why I am STILL here. Grrr...

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Feeling very homesick and fed up with the life in London I hitchhiked alone 2223 km and surprised my parents with a totally unexpected visit (their reaction - priceless).

Shaved my head and looked like a bald knee.

Walked 800 km to Santiago de Compostela.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

During a quite random travel to Georgia and Turkey in 2013, I've invented a strong obsession towards both countries. Especially towards Turkey, I'd say. And it still goes on. So if you're Turkish - speak to me, sing to me, share music, teach me, talk to me. I will be the happiest person in a radius of 2000km.

I will be super happy to hear your crazy travel stories and also share mine in exchange :).
Conversations about art, music, culture are most welcome!

I love listening to music from various countries. Share yours, it will be appreciated!

As a former owner of the head full of dreadlocks (6 years) I can make a few dreads on yours (if I only have my tools). Of course I can teach you words or sentences in Polish or how to pronounce "w szczebrzeszynie chrząszcz brzmi w trzcinie i szczebrzeszyn z tego słynie".

Länder, die ich besucht habe

Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, France, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Iran, Italy, Macedonia, Netherlands, Portugal, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine
