About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am about to embark on a cycling trip with my partner, we have all the equipment we need to camp and are looking forward to watching the scenery slowly changing into the sunny south of spain. We will be going via belgium so across the whole of France.

ABOUT ME

I became involved with Peace camp during Faslane 365 (See website for lots of useful information about a part of the campaign to stop nuclear weapons.)
Although I have moved out i still care passionately about Peace camp and would encourage everyone to find out what it's all about.

To do this you could try their myspace (which is I beleive the most regularly updated,) you could search the net and images at random to find out all sorts of things.

PHILOSOPHY

I beleive in speaking out for yourself and others and never allowing yourself to be crushed by heavy machinery.

I whole heartedly agree with the Peace camp philsophy which is "Drop in for a cuppa"

All are welcome including dogs and children.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met couch surfers before both at peace camp and Bilston and have always found their presence a really uplifting and refreshing experiance.
I especially love saying to them at Bilston "Do you want to sleep in a tree house?"

Interests

To find out more about Peace camp or Bilston enter their names into a search engine or try
the peace camp website (Myspace is i beleive the one that gets updated but the others also have info and contact details)

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not really into films, i love books and music is a passion but not a skill.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiroshima and Nagasaki day at peace camp, learning to climb trees and light fires, to build and work a compost toilet.

The convoy and Raytheon actions.

Climate was a definite high last year. As was the stall at the Northern Green.

Teach, Learn, Share

At Peace camp you can learn how to chop wood, light fires, do DIY, make lock-ons, stop nuclear convoys, investigate and track down arms companies, access alternative media, make patches or T-Shirts, cook vegan and vegetarian food, er well the list goes on indefinitely, i also learnt to climb trees and all sorts while i was there.
