About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Wandering this life for connection to Source. Enjoying where & who I am

ABOUT ME

The journey has it's challenges, but it's through these I gain understanding. I'm a happy explorer, connected to Nature on an intimate level, and enjoy sharing this with like-minded (or not, ha) souls!
Avid hiker / mt. climber, cyclist, motorcycle rider, nature lover.
Haven't ventured beyond N. America much, (a few places in Europe),but have traveled about 48 states in US.
I'm early to bed & early to rise, which seems to be less popular these days. So, I generally only accept guests of similar lifestyle, and expect guests to arrive before dark, (I'm in the country, easier by day).
(Not sure why my profile states 0% response rate, since I respond to most all informative requests.)
PHILOSOPHY

Life continues to become richer with growth & understanding of self & the laws of the Universe. Being willing to "go deep", though discomfort & even pain can present itself at times. I love climbing mountains, I need to train, prepare, be challenged while digging deep when it gets tough. But, that seems to be as rewarding as reaching the summit, and soon the discomfort is replaced with a longing to "go again".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm striving to be more connected to people, the planet, life. Haven't surfed as of this writing, but looking forward to it.
I've hosted a number of folks and have had very good experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Friends of mine here in Palm Springs have hosted dozens of travelers, have meet a few, and it seems like a natural way to connect & share.

Interests

Outdoors, movement, nature, personal growth, law of attraction, creating my realities, being even more joyful. I really enjoy guiding others to magical places, and I'm grateful I can do this regularly. I appreciate & incorporate peace, balance & calm in my life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A desert sunrise on an Autumn morning, the view from the top of a mountain, deer bounding through the forest, kindness expressed. Walked on hot coals, ran away with the circus when I was 21, driving a car at 160+.
An exhilarating dip off the coast of England, climbing the north face of San Jacinto, ride my motorcycle "at speed" on a mt. road.
People overcoming adversity, especially physical ones, and people creating great communities through the web, like Coach Surfing!

Teach, Learn, Share

Here's a couple quotes I relate to:
Within the seed of your desire is everything necessary for it to blossom to fulfillment. And Law of Attraction is the engine that does the work. Your work is just to give it a fertile growing place in order to expand --- Abraham
"In every walk with Nature, one receives far more than the he seeks" John Muir

What I Can Share with Hosts

A peaceful, country-type setting. Own bedroom, with a comfy futon, shared bath. I'm 15 min. from Palm Springs, at the base of Mt. San Jacinto, with open desert across the street.
It's a funky, modest home, lots of windows, fresh air, quite.
I'm early to bed and enjoy the desert sunrise. I'm neat and tidy, enjoy making a large salad most nights, appreciate those who pitch-in, whatever way seems good.
Time permitting, a fun hike, a quick trip into town, maybe a hilly bicycle ride around the village.
No wifi, so for all you cell phone junkies, head into the city. No into providing a "hotel room", or just a place to crash.
Tell me about you or I'll have little to go on, (I'm rather intuitive & insightful).

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, England, France, Mexico
