ABOUT ME

..

Love all the simple things in life... and some complicated too xD

Sand between toes, green grass and a shiny sun, a good chat, a cup of tea... Oh, and ice cream and french fries! I love to pack a bag and go outside, into the nature. I'v recently moved to Wien and I have so many places yet to explore! My camera comes with me at all the times, and I would love to, one day, learn how to use it to its fullest capacities.

I really would love to be able to take a trip around the world and meet other cultures. I also would love to learn and share cookings with other people, from different countries and cultures (nham nham :)).

I'm really found of meeting new people and their life stories and experiences. I believe that makes me grow as a person and makes me more complete, as a human being. And if those stories are bold and gooood, they also make me aim for my next adventure :)

I do love photography and writing. I love hanging out, laughing with other people, going to the cinema or running through the pubs at the city centre once and then (with late night cake involved!).

I'm a curious and talkative person, always up for a good adventure!

If I could, one day, I would meet the entire world...

I've recently moved to Vienna, so I'm still discovering this new country and culture, taking walks around the city centre and meeting new places. So, if you're coming to visit, I can walk you around and show you all the things that I've discovered so far xD I hope to be able to offer the same warm accommodation I found with CSurfers that already hosted me throughout Europe.

Music, Movies, and Books

A MUST.

I really love reading and writing, but lately I haven't had much time because of my nursing laboring life (this shifts'schedule still messes up with my brain).
I love afternoon's in my sofa, with my pyjamas and a book. My favourite authors are Chuck Palahniuk, Nieztsche and A. Huxley. José Luis Peixoto's books are my favourites. The "A Clockwork Orange" and "Fight Club" had a great impact in the way I perceive and live life :)

I really looooove going to the theatre. In fact, lately I've seen so many great films that I have trouble naming the good ones (João's fault :)). But anyway, I can try :) On my toplist are: THE LION KING! and all of Pixar's late masterpieces, Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain, LOTR, The Inglorious Basterds, The Tree of Life, and so many more.

Listening to music is part of my daily sanity rituals. I listen to all kinds of music, but lately I've been hooked on some OSTs and ethnic music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

..

- Travelled throughout Europe during 80 days with nothing but a backpack :D

- Being present on the birth and on the death of another human being.

- Hiking the Swiss Alps and Norwegian Fjords (no words to describe...)

- Surgery experiences (yikes!)

- Once, when I was sick, we (me and João) were travelling. One Sunday, when there were no other nurses in a 50km radius, I still had to keep up with my treatment. So, I had to teach my boyfriend how to give (me) a ceftriaxone shot xD That was pretty terrifying and amazing for both of us (I had little pen marks on my skin marking the right target loool).

Teach, Learn, Share

..

As time goes by, I'm growing up, and I realize there's so many things to see, so much more to grow and expand my horizons, so much to be done - that I acknowledge how life is so little and urgent. I really would like to grow up to be one of those old ladies who have seen the world and whose life is fulfilled. I'm learning how to get there, one day at a time, and I'm building myself up with what the world and other people have to give. In this exchange, I would also like to give you something in return too :)
