About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Living life connected to the things I love.

ABOUT ME

I am an observant, caring, fickle soul who appreciates a good sense of humour.

PHILOSOPHY

Never to become complacent: keep on improving and learning about the world and everything related to it.

Be able to laugh at yourself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Share information about the places I live in, my experiences, good places to go, exhibitions to see, things to do etc.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met a lot of lovely people through couch surfing, some have even become good friends of mine. It has also really helped me out when I have been in new cities with no where to stay.

Interests

I love talking to anybody who I either have the odd thing in common with or are just really friendly and can learn things from... I love learning, art, wood work, laughing, chatting, drinking, pondering, growing plants (or at least trying to!), reading, new experiences..

Music, Movies, and Books

Hhmm.. I like lots of things. Loads of films.. Encounters at the end of the world, Fitzcorraldo, The English Patient, There will be blood, The 400 blows, Wild Combination, Paris, Texas, Wings of Desire. Books.. Love: Brave New World, Flaubert's Parrot, A Hundred Years of Solitude, Rings of Saturn, Austerlitz, , Narcissus and Goldmund, The Glass Bead Game, I also like to read introductions/overviews to subjects I want to know more about such as philisophy/psychology/history etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in a community in Devon for nearly two years which was quite a transformational time for me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know about a few artists and the kind of work they do, if my memory doesn't fail me. I can teach some woodwork and do some wild food identification/foraging type of thing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My presence and humor and calm nature.
