About Me

I'm a qualified chef, au pairing was the only affordable way for my to come over to the States. I'm currently in my second au pair year. I'm studying finance and psychology as well as done courses in event planning, management, design and graphic design for businesses. Don't let the amount of studying I've done fool you I'm a pretty chilled person who tends to just go with the flow. I have a huge heart and a mastered mum stare ( I always get a laugh out of someone with it )

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The host family that I live with suggested I try couchsurfing so I can get a real experience of a city instead of being a tourist the whole time... I also believe it will add an extra bit of spice to my travel stories.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can watch any movie genre except for horror and don't test me if its a horror/thriller then you'll have a Rachel sized hole in your wall other than that I'm a big fan of movies. I love romance novels and books that give information but are easily read like a fiction novel. As for music, if my music tastes, its so hard to pick just one type of genre to like.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I left everything I knew to live with a family I didn't know from a bar of soap... twice!

Teach, Learn, Share

I had almost everything. I had an apartment, well paying stable job and a high position for someone my age at the time. I had the car. I even had a pet dog and plants that I managed to keep from dying despite my long hours at work and then one day I decided to rent my apartment, quit my job, re-home my doggo (which broke my heart) and plants, loan my car to my gran and left the country to live with strangers. It was the scariest thing I've ever done but it was the best thing for me and I'd never change what I did. The choice I made has grown and matured me as a person.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have some fun stories to tell.
