About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Graduate The Fashion Institute of Technology and free myself from hell

ABOUT ME

Im currently attending FIT where they work to break your spirit and make you a mindless design mule. I am trying to finish and escape with my sense of mind and no arson charges on my record. Im a New York girl born and raised and I like making art, having fun, being in the sun anywhere though central park is my latest obsession, cooking especially baking and just chillin out. My behavior has calmed down a lot these past few years and Im not often out drinking or partying, though of course i still enjoy it, but just relaxing with friends hangin out can be just as fun with the right people. I <3 reggae music.

PHILOSOPHY

Do onto others as you would have them do onto you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met a few people on here especially when I was going to Burning Man in I believe the summer of 2008 and every experience has been wonderful. All my friends that were supposed to come to BM with me never saved any money and if not for the people I met on this site I dont know what I would have done. Boris is an awesome person I stayed with him a few days in reno and then rode to BM and I was extended and invitation to the Bunny Camp via Dea. Amazing amazing experience, I MISS YOU GUYS!!!

Interests

People. Fibonnacci's numbers and the golden ratio. Books and Movies that actually say something and music, particularly tunes of the reggae or rock variety. Tea. The beach and summer finally getting here already. School and Fabric, its construction, fiber content as well how how to design for it. Getting to see other parts of the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

books: Ismael by Daniel Quinn, A clockwork orange by Anthony Burgess, Lord of the Flies by William Golding as well as Blink and the Tipping Point by Maclome Gladwell.
Music: All sorts of stuff. At the moment I've been listening to a lot of reggae. Ben Gali, SOJA, Dennis Brown, Half Pint, Groundation is awesome as well as some instrumental stuff like 10. ft. ganja plant and El Mitchel's Affair and some hawaiian reggae type stuff.
Movie: Im so bad at seeing movies but the good ones are good and the stupid ones are bad. dont see 10,000 bc, that was terrible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Burning man!! This last summer I was lucky enough to study abroad in Paris for weeks but my friend and I got a Euro rail pass so we also saw Lyon, Luxembourg, Brussels for a few hours and my personal favorite, Amsterdam! 3 countries, 4 cities in 3 weeks not to shabby. Though learning to surf and my trips to Hawaii have been major highlights. Theres just something so amazing about traveling.
