About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Three day weekends!

ABOUT ME

Once upon a time we met at university and it was good. The rest is a long history of travel, good times with friends and more recently, buying, renovating and tying the knot and bringing up our little family at our beautiful house in the middle of nowhere! We love (in no particular order): birds, gibbons, turtles, cows, our dogs Solo and Oscar (sadly no longer with us but we just couldn't delete them from our profile), snowboarding, Eastenders, all our loverly friends, good music, a nice cup of tea, occasional big nights out, good food, fine wines, Karaoke, dressing up, backgammon, The Mighty Boosh and lastly we love lamp.

PHILOSOPHY

The best things in life are friends, or was it chutneys?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CS massively enhanced our little world adventure. We now intend to repay our debt to the CS community with comfort a plenty available on request.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Our first couchsurf in Sapporo, Japan with Mike- much good food, fine wine and flowing chat ensued... we woke up one friend richer. After that the good times seemed to roll on! Cant believe how much CS helped us while on the road and poor. We are now home and looking forward to hosting many needy travellers!

Interests

Following is a list of our previous interests, they seem so out of date since we had our little boy. Now our interests include nappies, soft play, easy clean surfaces and getting a good night's sleep. Rock n roll....

Snowboarding, nature in all her beautiful forms, good friends, Sumo, food, wine, walking, photography, wine, yoga, Karaoke, fancy dress, backgammon, wine, most animals(except sandflies, mosquitoes and bed bugs), good music, Bobby D and finally Ray Mears and wine.

Music, Movies, and Books

We watch movies, listen to music and read books. All of them most entertain us.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ever had a wild kiwi look you in the eye? Had a hot tub with a Macaque? Run away from a trumpeting wild elephant?? Forced down a meal consisting solely of Yak cooked on Yak poo? Got Gibbon wee in the eye? Lost 25kg in weight without even trying??

Teach, Learn, Share

TEACH-We know lots of facts about animals (eg. There are 300million times more insects than people which amounts to x12 the weight. There are more non-human cells living on a human body than there are human cells. We can teach you how to make an origami frog and turtle.
LEARN-We like to learn.
SHARE-Take your eyes off of our choclit.
