I am single, Hindu and stay in a small ( 900 sq. ft. ) 1st floor apartment in town Bally, about 4 miles north-west of city Kolkata.

PHILOSOPHY

I became a believer in 2008, when I met an astrologer. His predictions of many incidents of my past-life ( and its timings ) were surprisingly accurate.
I realised then that everything in life is destined. People's character, preferences, ambition etc. depend on the date, time and place of one's birth. The only way to change destiny is to change one's mindset.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Researchers at Harvard Medical School have published a new gene-therapy technique to reverse cellular aging in the Journal ' Aging ' ( on 12th June 2023 ). They have formulated new drugs which have been successful in reversing aging in animals and are undergoing clinical trials for potential side-effects ( like cancers ).

Research on animals have revealed that reducing calorie-intake prevent disease and increases lifespan because of reduction in formation of free-radicals. Skipping a meal, only twice a week ( intermittent-fasting ) and drinking only juice, or pedialyte ( ORS ) prevents aging by detoxing the body.

Boiling destroys the antioxidant in vegetables, spices and herbs the most while steaming, blanching, stir or air frying tlhe least.
The seaweed Nori and Moringa-leaves are good source of B12 for vegans apart from other nutrients ( available online ).
Contrary to popular belief, supplements actually reduce lifespan by slowly damaging the organs ( like the kidneys and liver ). Even fortified-foods should not be consumed everyday, only twice a week. However, ayurvedic ( herbal ) supplements can be taken daily, but only from genuine sources ( patanjaliayurved.net )
Adding jackfruit flour and/or banana-peel flour ( about 14 % ) to wheat ( or preferably multigrain ) flour also prevents aging.
Do not use the same type of salt or honey everyday.
Do add turmeric-powder and dried-ginger immediately after cooking at least twice a week.
Replace chilly-powder with seeded-chillies ( seeds are discarded ) or black-pepper.
Vanadium in black-pepper, parsley, mushrooms etc. prevent cancers ( augments apoptosis ). Raw, blanched but not cooked bitter-gourd ( also known as bitter-melon ) kill cancer-cells.
Soak rice for at least 2 hours and discard the water before boiling with fresh water. Rice usually contain substantial amounts of arsenic which takes time to dissolve in water. Avoid rice grown in areas where the arsenic content of groundwater is high. Re-heated rice is healthier than freshly prepared rice because re-heating ( with water ) increases the resistant-starch content of cooked-rice.
Also, aromatic and long-grained rice ( like Basmati ) have a higher G.I. ( Glycaemic Index ) which hastens onset of ( type 2 ) diabetes. Although black-rice is the healthiest, do not have it more than twice a week. It is healthier to have various types of rice rather than only one type. To increase gut-microbiome diversity, occasionally substitute rice with foods containing fermented-rice ( like dosa and idli ). Slimy vegetables ( like okra and raw-jackfruit ) and unboiled egg ( white ) remove microplastics from the gut. Adding jackfruit -flour along with wheat-flour prevents aging ( available online ).
Most people think that biological-age cannot be reversed. A break-through Israeli research on ageing ( in 2020 ) has revealed that the telomeres of even old people stop getting shorter if they are kept in oxygen-chambers for at least 10 hours each week. Telomeres gradually become shorter with age. In some cases, the telomeres even became longer in excess of 10 hours, signifying reversal of biological-age. To reverse the aging process, keep an aquarium in your bedroom with no fish but only aquatic-plants. Keep the lights of the aquarium switched on and windows closed as long as you are inside the room. Algae, which form naturally inside aquariums is also a good source of oxygen. Instead of an aquarium, you can also keep a transparent container near a light source.
Sleeping in the prone-position ( face downwards ) prevents aging as it increases oxygen supply to the lungs, apart from kineosological benefits.
Keep at least 2 sets of toothbrush, towel, kitchen-swab etc and use them on alternate days to allow them to properly dry, especially in areas where the ambient humidity is high. Damp toothbrush, towels etc reduce lifespan because germs proliferate in moist areas.

Sceptics who think that biological-age cannot be reversed may acquire knowledge of Palmistry. The lines of the active palm's hand change with exertion of mental-strength.
Moreover, DNA-tests conducted on some sportspersons and athletes have revealed that some of their biological-age is less than their chronological-age. Research has revealed that genetic changes do take place with lifestyle changes.
Breathing deeply and slowly through the nose prevents the mind from wandering off which in turn increases production of NAD ( Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide ). NAD prevents shortening of the chromosomal-telomeres. The telomeres of people become shorter with age. Breathing slowly and deeply throgh the nose ( mindfulness ) while exercising or during strenous-lifestyle ( like avoiding lifts and climbing stairs or avoiding washing-machine and washing clothes manually ) increases length of the telomeres.
Consuming the fruit Noni or its juice and leaves of the Kulekhara plant or it's juice ( Hygrophila Spinosa ), raw, blanched or semi-cooked but not boiled ), twice a week on different days, increase production of NAD ( available online ). However, artificial NAD supplements will cause cancer.
Drinking mineral-water regularly accelerates the aging process. Preferably drink soft ( filtered ) water to prevent aging. However, occasionally drinking mineral-water is not harmful.
Adding a little ( about half tablespoon ) non-fruit vinegar ( 6 % acetic-acid ) to cooked-food, only twice a week, prevent infections ( like UTI ). But it must be added just after cooking, not during cooking.
Some ( usually cheaper ) LED-Lights that emit UV ( blue or purple tinge ) kill bacteria, virus and also fungus. But these LED-Lights are harmful to the eye's retina. So they should be installed behind or overhead and not in front. LED-displays of some TVs, cellphones etc. also harm the retina.
Wash hands for a long time with just water before meals. Using sanitizer, hand-wash or soap before eating causes antibiotic-resistance because they cannot kill 100 % germs ( maximum 99.99 % ). Do not use the same FMCG products ( like soaps, toothpaste, shampoos ) as it may also cause antibiotic-resistance. Avoid chemical dishwashing bars/gels as they are not only harmful for the skin but also has the potential to ingest carcinogenic chemicals due to inadequate cleaning of dishes. Substitute non-herbal perfumes, room-fresheners, incense-sticks etc. with herbal ones.
Substituting sugar with monk-fruit sweetener, stevia, honey or jaggery-powder ( preferably a blend of all four ) prevents aging. Sipping a little ( not exceeding 20 ml. ) Tequila ( authentic ones derived from the agave-plant ), at least 10 minutes before meal, reverses diabetes as well as osteoporosis. Taking curd ( or pre and probiotic supplements ), only once a month, also increases digestive-efficiency. Pre and Probiotic supplements are better than curd as they contain at least 4 different types of beneficial-bacteria ( the greater the diversity of the probiotics, the healthier it is ). However, taking them everyday may increase BP, diabetes, obesity, pot-belly, brain-fogginess and even risk of strokes. Sweet-yoghurts do not have any benefit as the sugar ( or salt ) weaken the beneficial-bacteria due to osmosis.
Wherever possible, substitute allopathic-medicines with ayurvedic ( herbal ) or homeopathic ones.
Moderate sipping of red-wine and double-fermented beers ( like Belgian-beer ) or beers containing Spirulina or Fenugreek-seeds ( along/instead of hops ) also prevent aging. Fenugreek-beers can prevent/reduce ( type 2 ) diabetes. Adding little fenugreek-seeds ( about 8 % ) to coffee or cocoa beans will prevent/reverse ( type 2 ) diabetes. Fenugreek and slimy vegetables ( like okra ) remove microplastics from the gut. Consuming relatively bland food ( which does not release' happy-hormones ' in the brain ) increases lifespan ( Dopamine-Fasting ). However, absolutely bland foods will reduce B.P. and cognitive functions.
Consumption of oil, butter, ghee ( clarified-butter ) is inversely proportional to lifespan. Even ' healthy ' cooking-oils ( like sesame and olive ) should be consumed in moderation. Avoid solvent-extracted cooking-oils, opt for physically-refined / cold-pressed ones. Cast-iron pans are the healthiest for cooking as it provides about 20 % of our daily requirement of iron. Unhealthy diet is not the sole reason for heart-problems. Absence of ( or inadequate ventilation ) in the kitchen also causes cardiac-diseases.
Eating small amounts instead of heavy meals also prevent ageing.
Proximity to pure-oxygen also reverses biological-age ( increases telomere length ). Even though they contain more fatty-acids ( like omega 3 ), larger fish are harmful as they usually contain more microplastics and other toxins ( like mercury ).
