Hey! I'm Riley, I enjoy nature, reading and having a good time! Born in the Canadian wilderness I have plenty of great stories and scars to prove them! Im outdoors as much as possible whether it’s backcountry skiing, climbing, hiking or uni cycling! I love telling stories and enjoy hearing them just as much. I am fluent in English and know a fair bit of French. I love to cook and have a slight obsessive hobby of bread baking. Recently the focus of my travels have been in search of the wind to fuel my passion of kitesurfing. In doing so I’ve been many places and met many amazing people.
I am studying forestry at the University of Northern British Columbia and am hoping to get involved in avalanche forecasting. Weird combo, I know! My couch is always open but as a student I may be a little busy at times.

Music, Movies, and Books

I probably listen to 6-8 hours of music a day in all sorts of genres from electronic to indie. Some of the all time favourites though are; Pink Floyd, Beatles and the Mountain Goats. I love to read and from time to time you’ll catch me nose deep in a thriller but for the most part I like to read non fiction. Anything from biographies to adventures to science. I generally won’t say no to a movie but generally I’d rather be lost in a book.

Participated in both the 2014 and 2016 unicycle world championships m.

Teach, Learn, Share

My French is a bit rusty but I’m always interested in practicing. I find it very fun to teach people how to unicycle so let me know if you want to give it a try!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories and knowledge of my country, helping with whatever needs doing. I would love to cook you a meal or even bake you some bread!
