ABOUT ME

I've been a private consulting forester in VT for 25 years (I'm 62), and haven't really traveled much, until lately. Frankly, while I enjoy traveling, it's hard to leave this place!
In the few years, professional opportunities have allowed me to travel to CA, OR, TN, SC, AR, and PA. My work in these places engages me as a 3rd-party auditor of forest carbon sequestration projects. Essentially, these projects propose to grow trees instead of cutting trees, and the emerging carbon credit markets allow them to earn some money for this environmental service.

Interests

Skiing, hiking, biking, woodworking, fly fishing, banjo, community volunteering are all in the mix--more time for this now that the kids are grown.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spend a lot of time outside in beautiful places. Recently, while fishing from a canoe in a remote pond in Maine, a bull moose sauntered in and spent half an hour diving for and dining on pond weed, while the loons and I went about our own business.
