About Me

CURRENT MISSION

"To have fun and meet fun people"

ABOUT ME

Ever since I was a kid I love travelling and getting to know people from different backgrounds. I have already participated in an organization that is kind of similar to CS, it is called AISEC, through which I have hosted already a couple of people and had some great experiences as volunteering in Colombia.

I study Computer Engineering so you must already figure out that I love learning about technology. I also really enjoy learning foreign languages and learning about history, economics and politics. I am also a big fan of sports specially table tennis, soccer and social dancing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I engage in the CS events in Brasilia and whenever I travel, it is a great way to find awesome people and have fun. I am currently hosting but I have already surfed a couple of times. I think this organization has a very revolutionizing philosophy, I hope I can contribute as much as I can to it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have traveled through Colombia and took part in many CS events such as bike trips, parties, language exchanges etc, where I had the opportunity of meeting some great people and understanding better this amazing project. I have hosted in my house too and it has been a very gratifying experience since I have met some incredible people and learned a lot. I am also participating in my CS community since I think this is also a great way of meeting people.

Interests

I love practicing sports, for me is a great way to relax, take care of my body and have some fun especially soccer, working out, rock climbing, running and table tennis.

I am also very fond of dancing, especially salsa, brazilian zouk and forró ( a brazilian kind of dance)it is such a blast! I was really bad though, I had to take class for both of them but now I think I am decent.
I love hanging out with my friends and have a great laugh with them. As I love new cultures I am an avid learner of foreign languages. I am currently studying French, hope I can speak it fluently one day.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music, I think everything is good depending on the context. Nonetheless, I love classic rock, especially Queen, I think it is just the best band ever! I love reading too but it would be unfair to choose my favorite since I love so many.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

High School exchange programme in a small town in Ohio, US. I was just 16 back then but I was a really life-changing experience because as I lived 1 year by myself, I had to learn the local life and to but as open-minded as I could, it was just great!

I also have volunteered in a Down Syndrome organization in Bogotá, Colombia. I was just amazing working in this place, it taght me a lot about cherishing life and just having a smile in our faces. Once the programme was over I backpacked through the main cities of Colombia and studyied for 3 weeks in a Spanish School in Cartagena, it was a lot of fun and the city is stunning!
