About Me

Currently I am spending a lot of my time learning German, with the dream of becoming able to speak four languages by the time I am thirty! (Currently I speak English, some German and very basic French). I am taking time out of work as for the last five years I have gone from job to job without much personal time!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to spend a couple of months in Autumn 2015 backpacking around Europe, in particular Germany, and thought this website looked perfect for finding places to stay but more importantly people to meet

Interests

Going to music festivals is a hobby of mine. This year I went to Glastonbury and Secret Garden Party as well as recently having been to Oktoberfest in Munich.
I love to meet and get to know people and like the idea of having friends around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all sorts of music but in particular noncommercial stuff so I like a lot of ska, reggae, hiphop, house. Favourite band of all time would be The Jam.
The Green Mile starring Tom Hanks is one of the few films I found very emotional...in fact most Tom Hanks films tend to be pretty good.
I have started reading the A Song of Ice and Fire series since watching Game of Thrones and am up to book three. I also like reading travel literature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For my 23rd birthday in Courchevel, I did a skydive for the first time which went over the Alps and it was the best experience of my life so far.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to talk about pretty much anything so if I was to stay with you, I would be happy to be a source of information for anything you want to know about England.
I also am an avid fan of the outdoors and interested in all related sports: kayaking, canoeing, cycling.

What I Can Share with Hosts

In exchange for your hospitality I will be a friendly and chatty surfer happy to help out with anything you need done round the house. I love to keep in contact with people I meet via email and where possible in person!
