Dancing/movement, singing, and hand drumming/drum circles are important to my well being. I eat healthy (most meals), love to swim in the Gulf of Mexico and am beginning to love salsa dancing... especially when I am not trying. Most of the time I live in Sarasota, Fl but I am also in Maine which is where I will consider hosting.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Currently looking for two nights in Jamaica for July 13 & 14. I enjoy meeting locals and people who share some of my interests.

Music: Carlos Santana, Macy Gray, Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Sade, Kora music (African), Snatam Kaur, David Sanborn, classical guitar, flemenco, soca, reggae, some ska, Deep Forest, Paul Simon, and so much more.
Books: historical fiction- Gods of Gotham, David Lisa books, Alan Brennert especially Molakaie and Honolulu, Ruth Ozecki especially A Tale for the Time Being, some Paul Auster, and many others.,
Movies: Gods Must be Crazy, any movies about food especially The Big Night, Moonstruck (I am 1/2 Italian), Phenomenon, Dance with Me, Point Break (old one), and my favorite of all time is Step into Liquid , although I have only surfed once.
