About Me

Hello fellow adventurers!

I'm Sagar, a Biotechnology Engineer and Biology Professor deeply passionate about teaching and learning from every corner of the globe.

With a mission to explore 3-4 countries annually (or more, if work permits!), I'm on a thrilling journey to tick off the destinations across India that my Papa and I enthusiastically penned down during my 7th-grade days.

My love for exploration knows no bounds, as I immerse myself in the wonders of nature, leisurely strolls, vibrant local markets, diverse native languages, tantalizing cuisines, and the pulsating nightlife of every city I visit. During my downtime, you'll often find me wandering along sun-kissed beaches, traversing through enchanting nature trails, bargaining at bustling local markets, exploring ancient forts and temples, savoring street food delicacies, and dancing the night away.

I'm eagerly seeking kindred spirits to connect with over engaging conversations, leisurely walks, refreshing drinks, and memorable nights out on the town. Let's share stories, explore new horizons, and create unforgettable memories together!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been a staunch advocate of the term 'Symbiosis', and when I stumbled upon Couchsurfing, a platform dedicated to host-guest mutual benefits, I knew I had found my tribe. Couchsurfing embodies the essence of symbiosis, connecting people from all corners of the globe through shared mindsets, knowledge, and humanity.

For me, traveling isn't just about ticking off destinations from a list; it's about immersing myself in the culture, connecting with locals, and forging meaningful relationships along the way. Couchsurfing has been instrumental in fulfilling this desire, allowing me to not only explore new places but also to connect with like-minded individuals who share my passion for cultural exchange and adventure.

With Couchsurfing, every journey becomes an opportunity to expand my horizons, learn from others, and cultivate genuine connections that transcend borders and boundaries. I'm incredibly grateful for the network of Couchsurfers that has enriched my travels and made my adventures truly unforgettable.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most unforgettable experiences I've had was embarking on a solo trip to Himachal Pradesh in July 2021. Amidst the majestic Himalayan mountains, I found myself teaching remotely while surrounded by breathtaking scenery. To my delight, my students were often more captivated by the stunning backdrop behind me during our Zoom calls than by the lesson itself, adding a touch of whimsy to our virtual classroom experience.

More recently, I embarked on an exhilarating 2-months adventure through Latin America, and I can't wait to return. From the vibrant cultures to the stunning landscapes, every moment was filled with excitement and wonder. Latin America captured my heart, and I'm already counting down the days until I can explore its beauty once again. It's safe to say that my love for LATAM runs deep 💙.
