Estuve profesor de ciencia durante los últimos cinco años. Ahora, estoy tomando un descanso de me trabajo para viajar a Sudamérica. Espero que me encontrar gente de los países que visitaré para conozco la cultura y el país mejor.

Been a middle school teacher for the past five years and am taking a year off to backpack across South America. I have always enjoyed traveling throughout my life, but have had a hard time traveling ever since I started my career as a teacher.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Estoy en CS por que espero a encontrar gente nativos en los paises que visitaré. Quiero estar con el gente de pais para aprender sobre su cultura y pais mejor. Una meta de mi viaje es para ser fluido en Español (por que muchos de mis estudiantes son hispánicos). Y tambien siempre estoy interesado de cultura Latinamericao. Y para aprender Español, creo que es mejor encontrarlos nativos en CS en lugar de quedo en hostel donde encontro otro gente que hablan ingles. Tambien, para conozcolo país mejor, espero que me recibir recomendaciónes para cosas hacerlo en los ciudades diferentes que visitaré.

I'm am on CS because I hoping to meet native people of the country. I hope to fully immerse myself in the country and culture by interacting with locals. One of my main goals is to become fluent in Spanish by the end of this trip, and I know that won't happen if I keep traveling in hostels and meet other English speakers. I'm hoping to get recommendations from the hosts about things to do, see, and eat while on my travels.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: English, Korean, basic cooking skills (used to work at a catering restaurant), soccer, experiences traveling (west coast of US, Vancouver, Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, Japan, Peru).

Learn: Spanish, recommended spots for food, sight seeing, hikes/treks. Also about the culture and values the local people have.

Share: recommendations for things to do in LA (places to visit, eat, do). If you host me, I will most definitely be willing to host you if you come visit LA.
