ABOUT ME

So, my name is Sam...
I love life to the max. Life hasn't always been easy, but I've learned that it can be whatever you want it to be; and I want it to be AWESOME!! Right now I'm 27 and I've listened to too many stories from "older" people saying what they wished they would've done with their lives. Some years ago I decided that I'm never going to tell those kind of stories.I will tell stories of how much fun I've had. I am going to live a life without regrets. I am going to do whatever I can to make my time here as incredible as possible.
In May of '08 I hopped on my sweet Schwinn ("The Chariot") and left my hometown of Roanoke, VA, in search of adventure and all things that are good. I traveled over 3000 miles from May to October, personally biking around 2400+ of those miles. If you take a look at my references, you'll get a pretty good idea of my itinerary. I ended up in Lawrence, KS on Oct. 15.
Since then I've found a new family within the world of Renaissance Fairs. I work at two of the Texas shows, one in the Spring and the other in Autumn. This is a community of talented and creative individuals who travel and work...basically, my kind of people!
I like to spend my summers back home in Roanoke, VA, where I'm employed as a window washer and my winters traveling (somewhere warm!)
I'm always on the look-out for great people and great times, so if you see me riding by, do stop and say hi! :)

I believe this expression is lost on many americans and others who might not be as informed to its truest meaning. sometimes i meet someone, who i have no other insight as to who they are, but i can see that divine spark in their eyes...and at that moment, i know i'm before another who also recognizes that same spark within me.)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd love to spend some time on some nice, clean, comfortable couches! Dirty, uncomfortable ones will work too! Or beds, or floors. Or hammocks. Or rooftops!
I've had the occasion to hook a few peeps up for a bed or a couch here and there, though not always CS members. I like to help whenever I can, however I can. Let me know if I can help you!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, I've slept on my share of couches, that's for sure...
I can say with 100% certainty that my bike trip wouldn't have been even half as amazing without CS. The people that I've met and the things we've done together are the memories that are a constant source of happiness, joy, amusement and nostalgia. Couchsurfing is an amazing thing and I'm lucky to be a part of it. I've had the pleasure and privilege of being a few people's very first couchsurfer, and what an honor that is! I know that I embody the kind spirit of CS.com. and I look forward to continuing to spread that spirit on all my travels.

Intereses

Shiny things!!! I LOVE shiny things! For real though, it would be a lot easier to list the things that do not interest me...I'm all about life, and everything it has to offer! If I'll try it once, I'll try it twice.
I'd really love to travel the whole world. I'd love to learn new languages. I LOVE trying (and cooking) new foods. I'm into rock climbing and swimming and playing Uno, frisbee, backgammon, fusball and a few other games. I LOVE to love the ladies too... ;) I am a pretty spontaneous guy and I'm almost always up for just about anything. Life is about experiences...lets have some!

Algo increíble que he hecho

Whilst couch-surfing in New York, in a single night I managed to break into the Bon Jovi concert, climb to the top of the Plaza hotel, play a game of street volley ball and after all of that, I almost get a ticket for riding my bike down the subway ramp at Union Square! (at 3:30 in the morning, while there was only one other person in the terminal!!!) I got out of it because I didn't have a permanent mailing address. You'd think that would be an even better reason to stop me, but I guess all the shit talking I did to the cops payed off, good thing they didn't know what the rest of my night was like!
