About Me

Hi everyone,
My name is Santiago , I'm from Argentina where I was working as researcher in the National Research Center of Agriculture. Three years ago I got my retirement and I started my travel in Latin America.
During 2019 I traveled 9 months, visiting Bolivia, Peru, Brazil, Colombia and the Guyanas. Basically I travel many months in the Amazon region of Bolivia, Peru, Colombia and Brazil.
I started again in 2020, and the COVID stoped me in Sucre Bolivia during 4 months after that I spent 5 month in the south of Mexico and 4 months in Colombia.
Now I'm ready for my next trip from Miami to Cancun, but now I will go by car, really it's a minivan with a roof tent, and some stuff to survive during several months (kitchen, cooler, etc.).
I really like to travel, found new friends, and try to understand what happened in Latin America in the last 5 hundred years. Also I enjoy to read, watch movies, and sometimes I try to go to fishing...
I loved the beaches, and the ocean, as well as hot weather. Usually I travel by bus, but now I will try to have more freedom, and more flexibility traveling by car. Usually I spend more time in a good o nice place, with nice or good people, but I will run away when I don't like the place or the people. I hope to meet some of you "sometimes, somewhere in some place".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's an easy way to meet people, to know how the local people live in their city, to get information about the region. Basically we should remember that communication it's one of the privilege of the human being, and sometime we are not using it in order to improve our life experiences and our knowledge.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

Watch movies is an important activity as well as read, and I try to do both almost every day, because both activities help us to get better knowledge of what happen around us...
