About Me

Originally my home is in Orsha, Belarus and I studied in Minsk. After I graduated from university I moved to Moscow, Russia. I spent around 10 years living and working in Moscow, where I made my first career steps and met my wife. But since corona time we have decided to abandon the crowded city and seek for rural life.

Now me and my family (mother-in-law, my wife and two daughters: 4 y.o. and 2 y.o.) are living in a village 20 km west of Ulyanovsk city. We have a half acre of land suitable for landmowing and barbeque or winter activities, like snow shoveling. Our house is fully equipped: we have nice kitchen, big TV with PS4, fast Wi-Fi, WC and bathroom,

I am positive and open to new things, cultures, ideas and people. I discover the World, because it is awesome! I wrote series of articles about Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Iran, Iraq, Uzbekistan and publish two travel-guides: "Iran unforgettable" and "Iraq in Real" (published in the Russian language).

Music, Movies, and Books

I really love Disco: Kano, Ottawan, La Bouche, Haddaway.
Rock: Beatles, E.L.O., T.Rex.
Blues music used to be my favourite as I played the harmonica in a blues band.

I like cartoon movies: Up! Kungfu-panda, WALL-E, Toy story 1, 2, 3.

Prefer to listen to audiobooks. I listened to almost all the classic books recommended at school (though I listened to them when I was about 30 years old, not at the time I was in school) and I think that I like funny books more, for example, feuilletons and books written by Ilf and Petrov, e.g. "12 chairs" while my favorite satirical book is "The Blue Book" by Zoshchenko.

Now I am doing archery (classic olympic recurve bow)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Paraglider pilot.
Ice-hole swimming.
Publishing a book.
Giving a concert with a blues band in a concert hall "Minsk" for 1300 guests.
Staying in Iraq prison during my travel.

Teach, Learn, Share

Give some basics on the harmonica playing and archery.
Will tell you more about history of the city I am living in.
