About Me

I'm the type of soul who believes that the best souvenirs are the memories we make and the connections we forge along the way. I believe that every journey is an opportunity to learn, grow, and share experiences with kindred spirits. So, if you're looking for a laid back, down to earth host/surfer who's always up for good vibes and great company, let's create some epic memories together!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In a world where trust can sometimes feel hard to come by, I'm here on Couchsurfing to spread a little bit of positivity and show that strangers can be good people. While I spend most of the year traveling rather than staying in one place, I've only used couchsurfing once as a surfer (praise and reference on my unretrievable account). Now, as I find myself spending time in my home country before embarking on my next journey, I've come full circle with Couchsurfing as a host. I believe that the best way to truly experience a place is through the eyes of a local, and I want to offer that opportunity to fellow travelers.

Interests

As I'm journeying through this thing called life, I've noticed a shift in my priorities. While I still appreciate the occasional night out with friends, my focus has shifted towards finding comfort and security in my surroundings and the people I choose to share my life with. Don't get me wrong, I'm not opposed to a good time, but as I'm getting older, it's becoming less about drinking and partying and more about creating meaningful connections and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. Whether it's cozying up with a good book, engaging in thought-provoking conversations, or lending a helping hand through volunteering, I find fulfillment in the little things that make life truly worthwhile. And let's not forget about my love affair with writing, especially crafting scripts, that's where I get to explore the depths of human emotions and weave tales that resonate with others. And as everyone else on here, traveling has a special place in my heart. There's just something magical about discovering new places, meeting diverse people, and creating unforgettable memories along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books

• Music:
I'm one of those people who can't pick just one favorite music genre. My ears are like sponges soaking up sounds from everywhere. I vibe with some tunes and not so much with others. Basically, if it sounds good, I'm all in!

• Books:
- Man's Search for Meaning (Viktor E. Frankl)
- Sapiens (Yuval Noah Harrari)
- The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck (Mark Manson)
- Educated (Tara Westover)
- Atomic Habits (James Clear)
- The Gifts of Imperfection (Brené Brown)

• Movies:
- Fight Club
- Inception
- The Godfather
- The Silence of the Lambs
- Call Me by Your Name
- Brokeback Mountain
- Blue Is the Warmest Color

(I probably missed a few movies, but that's all my brain could come up with as I was putting together this list. Might update later on)
