Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Find myself and others who share my ambitions of seeing and understanding this incredible world.
ABOUT ME
Creative guy who's always looking to explore. Hopelessly shy and private but looking to break out of his shell. Loves the outdoors - cycling, hiking, skiing - although doesn't get out nearly enough. Grew up in Pennsylvania (US) and lived in Charlottesville, VA and Philadelphia, PA for school. Spent three great years in NYC although wanted to see even more of the country. Has traveled all over Western Europe, Northern India and Nepal and has also been to Hong Kong and to various points across the US - Always looking to add to the list. About to embark on a trip to Northern Spain, and possibly Southwestern France, in an effort to understand, and hopefully document, Basque culture.
PHILOSOPHY
A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and gets to bed at night, and in between he does what he wants to do. -Bob Dylan
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Unfortunately, my living situation doesn't make for a great hosting situation but I can probably put someone up in a pinch.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
While I have stayed with a Couchsurfing host, it wasn't arranged via the site. Since signing up I've discovered that several of my friends are online. I'm hoping to dive in head-first on this upcoming trip to Spain.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies mostly, on which I'm a bit of a snob. Loved The English Patient, Memento, Time Out (French), and anything by Pedro Almodovar. Musical tastes range far and wide, although I particularly like jazz and Hip Hop. I don't read nearly enough although I was captivated by "The Count of Monte Cristo" and recently finished Camus' "The Stranger," which I found interesting.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I rode my bicycle across the US.
Teach, Learn, Share
Photography - I'm always looking to share what I know and learn more from others. Speaking French - I suspect I'm more on the taking end of this than the giving but I'm always looking to practice.
