About Me

Enjoying life to the fullest by doing what I love, and loving what I do.

If you were to ask my friends to describe me they'd probably tell you I'm a crazy hiking fool. That's because I spend most of my free time hiking.

When I'm not hiking I may be found sharing with tourists the lesser known spots, vortex sites, Indian ruins, and delicious wine, micro-breweries, raw chocolate shops, and restaurants of the area. I’ve been providing tours in this area since 2004, and truly love what I do. You can find my company on the web by searching for either “Sedona Red Rock Adventures” or Wine Tours of Sedona “. .

I consider myself a foodie, in that I thoroughly enjoy good food, and I enjoy eating out often. Really cooking of any sort, as long as it's organic. I just like to eat good tasting food. I make just about everything and with my cooking comes entertaining.

I love the outdoors, not just hiking, but also swimming, camping, backpacking, cannoeing, rafting, kayaking, you name it. If I could spend all my time out camping and hiking, playing with my dog White Paw life would be pretty awesome. Lately I’m grateful to get out hiking at least five days a week.

I have a bumper sticker on one of my Nalgene water bottles that reads, "Treehugging Dirt Worshipper". That's me in a nutshell. I most certainly hug all the trees, kiss the red rocks, and worship Mother Earth in all her beauty.

Have fun. Play hard. Work when you have too. Enjoy what you do. Cherish every moment for you never know what tomorrow will bring. Be happy. Enjoy your life. Do what you enjoy. Be honest and respectable.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I live in what I think is one of the most beautiful places on the planet. As a guide, I know the area intimately well. I would be happy to share my knowledge and experiences with all those that pass through what I call home sweet home, my humble abode.

Surfed many-a-couches back in my college years, many times not knowing where I was when I awoke-luckily I'm still around to tell about it. At the same time, I hosted many a friends and remarkably even some foes on my couch.

Simply put, I am a people person. I enjoy meeting new people and sharing life's experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

Musically speaking, I enjoy meditative (In Lakesh), spiritual (Elijah & The Band of Light, Krystin Pixton), classic rock (Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, The Who), alternative (Red Hot Chili Peppers), and dance music the most.

Recently, I introduced a dear friend to The Moody Blues, which was an awesome concert. I simply love outdoor multiday concerts!

Teach, Learn, Share

In 2016, I bought 5.6 acres located just 20 minutes west of Sedona in the heart of Page Springs, which is just minutes from the areas vineyards and tasting rooms. I’m grateful to have so much space that affords me views of Bear Mountain and Thunder Mountain from the property I know call Sedona Oasis.

My original intention with this land was to form a sustainable community with people working together for a common goal of creating organic gardens, living sustainability and off the grid, practicing conscious evolutionary ideals such as yoga, meditation, mindful thoughts. I was going to create ceremony spaces, massage and healing spaces, a vineyard, and a fruit and nut orchard. It was to be a place for people to thrive together in community, and at the same time be an educational forum for those visiting here wanting to learn more about sustainability and community.

I would be happy to meet "you" to show you around Sedona and tell you all I know about this place I call home. I know great restaurants, cafe shops, where to shop and areas to avoid. I'd be happy to point you in the right direction.
