ABOUT ME

Creative, energetic, passionate, interested. Loves to read, bike, hike, kayak, travel. Teaches college world history, African and Chinese history. Love to get to know people, listener and talker. I love music - rock, jazz, new age, and blues. I enjoy cooking AND eating delicious food. My friends seek me out. I'm a natural leader without being pushy. I'm an early riser, but hit the sack at 10 pm. I'm a youngish, fit grandmother but I have friends of every age. I'm laid back.

Interests

Film, jazz, biking, kayaking, travel, reading nonfiction, nature. I love wine (one glass, usually) and French, Thai, Chinese, Italian, and Greek food. Whenever I get the opportunity, I travel. I've been to many countries in western Europe, China, Vietnam, the Caribbean, Turkey, Istanbul, Ghana. Last month I spent a week in Amsterdam. I love cities and my favorite c is New York City, but I can milk a cow. I speak Mandarin Chinese. I"ve been married to the same man for 34 years. We camp in our yard all summer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

HIke the Grand Canyon- twice. Swam in the Gulf of Tonkin. Given birth to two amazing people. Kissed the Blarney Stone.
