ABOUT ME

I grew up on the South Coast (near the sea) so am a bit of a water baby and have done several mile swims, most of my childhood was spent on a small holding. I love animals and they are a big part of my life (I own 3 dogs, 5 cats, 3 birds and a snake). I could NEVER live in a flat or townhouse. I enjoy a challenge be it work or other. Although I consider myself pretty active I could do with being a lot more fit. My hair colour changes often and I have been known to shave my head for a dare. I wear glasses, have a bugged ankle from an old skydiving accident, but refuse to let that affect anything I do. I work 2 hard, drink 2 much and sleep 2 little. I guess my motto is “Sleep when you’re dead

PHILOSOPHY

Having had a very religious background, it’s strange that I believe in re-incarnation. I believe I came back for a purpose and it is my duty to do everything in order to fulfill that purpose.

Interests

I am busy breaking in a horse - actually think he is doing more of the breaking .....
Am actively involved with the caving club and am lucky to get below ground most Wednesday evenings and occasionally on weekends.
I am also a member of the Bat interest group and am quite involved in education and public interest programs held by the group.
Have just bought myself a Honda 750 Africa Twin and plan to do a bit of off road biking as soon as I learn how to ride it.
Have just recently started rock climbing.
And lastly am involved with S.O.A.P. Kidz - a group involved with taking underprivileged kids out into the bush where we pick up rubbish and generally get the kids into the open somewhere up a mountain.

Music, Movies, and Books

Enjoy Bryce Courtney, Wilber Smith, but don't really have time for reading. Music interests are heavy metal/alternative - keen supporter of SA music and try to attend as many local music festivals as possible. Like most movies favorites are definatly animated ones.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being privileged to go underground and seeing the amazing formations that in some cases took millions of years to develop.
