Aren't the first few hours in an entirely new city/country/place exhilarating?

I'm Sophia, and I am quite new to Couchsurfing. I enjoy finding out about the world, life, people, cultures, etc. through my own tangible experiences. Traveling is the "mechanism" that allows me to experience in this way... and of course, I love it. It is hard for me to remember what I ate in a day sometimes; however, I can replay vividly in my mind the moments where I have felt limitless and happy. These moments have, above all, been while I have been traveling and the people I've met along the way. :)

Recently, I have found a new interest in learning languages, as well as, teaching language. Therefore, I am teaching while traveling as a certified English language teacher. When I find myself back in the States, I look forward to opening my home to all :).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I created an account in May 2018 after graduating from university. Throughout university and upon graduating, I realized my desire to travel and experience the world and all of its natural, cultural and diverse beauty with other like-minded people. I am ready for a new chapter in life, ready to keep participating in the sharing economy, and ready to open my home to others, as well!

I am open to sharing any knowledge of sustainable living, music, film photography, singing, the environment, organic gardening, yoga, and of course language exchange. I write a lot, and although this is a personal endeavor, it would be great to talk through writing as well!
