About Me

Currently I'm not hosting.
I'll be in Istanbul on 27th May.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm Sota. A forever traveler who loves to exchange story and to meet people with diverse backgrounds.
Long story short, all of my Couchsurfing hosts who I met through the trips were incredibly nice human beings:) I was given a lot. Now simply I'd really like to give you something back with the hospitality as if I was given before! That's the biggest reason I'm here.
The year 2021 after a year of traveling around the world I moved to one of the remotest area in Japan to experience Japanese mountain lifestyle.
I worked as a government officer to redesign Okawa village in Kochi prefecture, which has been facing an serious aging society with a low birthrates.
A very important lesson that I've learnt was that heart to heart communication or dialogue would lead us to make healthy society.
Since May, 2023 I quit the job and started co-living with six unique but brilliant youths to develop healthy relationships with people by dialogue. It's an attempt for me to make sure if human beings can overcome any conflict within and between others over any conditions with joy!
The process is something I'd love to show you. We need more wisdom from all over the world!
Lastly, I am somehow working at traditional miso & soy sauce brewery. Now I'm an apprentice! You can ask me how to make them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm a believer of possibilities and potential of us, human.
We are superficially different. Different ages, nationality, cultural background, gender, jobs, life experience. Absolutely diverse. This diversity always amazes me!
However, we are fundamentally the same. Two eyes to see, two hands to handshake, two legs to walk, one heart of sending and catching love from others.
I believe couch surfers know it. Beyond any differences we feel connected. I love people who try their very best to know each other!
I like exchanging positive energy. I was given a lot by other hosts. When I pass you something I got before, you start feeling to give someone something. And it's repeated ... Isn't it wonderful?
Interests
I'm interested in self-development.
Who am I? Who are we?
From Individual perspective and Species perspective.
We really don't know about ourselves yet. It's not so long time ago that people started knowing that one planet is shared. It's not so long time ago that many more people started understanding that there are something we can't buy.
