About Me

I am working remotely, couchsurfing and woofing to be able to travel the world! 🌍🌴✨ Currently traveling The Caribbean. In The Netherlands I appreciate the influence from The Caribbean so much it only made sense to start here. Absolutely love the culture The Caribbean brought and continues to bring to the whole world!

I am born and raised in the media town called Hilversum in The Netherlands and have lived here my whole life. I was fortunate enough to have an amazing mother who introduced me to travel from a young age being an adventures travel guide herself. She traveled through Jordan and Egypt and that is how I came to be! Half Dutch, half Bedouin and eager to see and connect with the world. After many trips with my mother to Egypt to connect with my roots, to other travels such as India, Argentina and many more I went on the adventure of traveling solo when I just turned 18! I packed my back pack, had around a thousand euros and went backpacking through the United States. An experience I will never forget and an experience that was only possible through couchsurfing. I stayed with many amazing people and I am still in contact with some of the hosts I stayed with, 8 years later!

After that I have struggled with adulthood and the responsibilities that came with it for a while. After a burn out, some hard lessons I got back on my feet a few years back thanks to a wonderful coaching program I followed for 3 years that allowed me to truly get to know myself, and love myself and work through all my limiting beliefs. I started loving life again and connecting with my soul’s desires and so the longing for traveling and connecting with different people and cultures world wide starting calling me again. While this time I had a job I tried to travel as much as I could in between and went on some beautiful trips after the pandemic.

I am now following the calling to truly start traveling again full time and I am looking forward to couch surf again because it brought me the best memories and experiences and I believe with all my heart it will do so again!

Besides my traveling history, I love to make music, sing, have philosophical conversations, talk about life and our dreams and fears, be playful, work in the garden with plants, go to art expositions, open mic’s, salsa evenings, dance hall /soca and reggae parties, mountain hike, swim swim swim!, eat amazing food, enjoy sitting on a terrace outside just looking at people and enjoying life.

I enjoy many many things, but mostly all beautiful and joyous things life has to offer! I can be fully emerged in nature but I also love to dress up and go to a ballet! For me it’s all about experiencing all the facets of life and being open to whatever wants to come my way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The reasons I'm on couch surfing is because meeting new people is the most important thing about traveling for me and I feel like there's no better way to do that, than through couch surfing :)

I've traveled through the United States in 2015 and because of couchsurfing I met so many wonderful people and it really added to the experience. Now I don’t see myself traveling without couchsurfing!

If your home is open for me, my home in the cold Netherlands is always open for you!

Interests

I take interesting in everything that is unique and authentic. I enjoy the finer things in life, and I enjoy the raw and real things in life. I also enjoy the simple things in life, such as having a good cup of coffee in a local cafeteria.

I enjoy and take interest in music, art, nature, poetry, gardening, water sports, meeting people, yoga, meditation, people their life stories, cooking, business, spirituality, religion, free diving, dancing, kayaking. And the list goes on!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like almost any kind of music so feel free to share your taste! I currently listen to a lot of Blues and soul classics and I am always a fan of Jazz music. The one genre I always listen no matter my mood is reggae. I’m especially a big Bob Marley fan. I also enjoy listening to Salsa and Mariachi. I basically enjoy any soulful and live music despite the genre. I also love French Chansons!

Regarding books: I love self help and philosophical books. I also enjoy reading about finances.

Another ‘book’ i follow is The Course of Miracles and I followed a study that is based on it. It's a non dualistic spirtual path. We can talk for hours about consciousness if you want!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My trip through the desert in the Sinai with the Bedouin and camels for 10 days was definitely the most amazing thing I have done. I am half Bedouin and connecting with the place I am from in such a traditional and authentic way with Bedouins who knew my mother and father was a deeply spiritual experience. A true home coming. It was also liberating to be free of internet connection and phone reception and to just be in the desert, sleeping under the stars. 🐪 🌴

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a lot of tools (from my coaching education and experience) to work through your limiting beliefs and also become more of your authentic self! If you already know all the tools etc regarding that I can teach you Dutch or how to cook nice vegan meals!

I can basically share all my life experiences and my knowledge if that is of any use to you :)

We can also have nice jam sessions together.

I am also really good at finding cool events or spots even in places im not from so I would love to surprise you with doing something cool and planning the whole thing!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my vegan/vegetarian cooking recipes, my company, laughter, funny life stories and much more!

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Chile, Croatia, Cyprus, Egypt, England, France, Germany, Greece, India, Martinique, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States
