Well there are actually two of us looking for a couch! Casper is my fiancée, and we are from Australia. Currently we are travelling around the world for 13 months to experience lots of new countries, cultures and people :)

(De hecho, hay dos de nosotros que buscar un couch! Mi novia se llama Casper, somos Australiano. Actualmente estamos viajando alrededor en todo el mundo para 13 meces.. Queremos experimentar muchos países y gente!)

So a little about me, Stretch: I'm 36 and originally from the UK. Career wise, I'm a geek by day (software engineer), but try to hide it by night.. a little bit quirky some might describe me! I love to chat, meet people, travel places... Basically just have a good time. Live life is my motto, and I try to do that every single day and grasp every opportunity to make the most of things :)

(Entonces, un poco de mí, Stretch: tengo 36 años, de hecho soy inglés y australiano! Me mudé a Australia hace casi 9 años. Soy programador, pero no soy aburrido!! Me gustó conocer gente y viajar... básicamente, pasar un buen rato! "Vivir vida" es mi lema, y trato de lo hacer todos los días :)

Casper is 33, worked in HR, and is equally fun and sociable as me :) Also like me, Casper has a lust to see new things and visit new places and people.

(Casper tiene 33 años, y su trabajo está en los recursos humanos... Eres divertidos y sociable como mi. También como mi, a ella le gusta conocer nuevos lugares y personas)

We love the idea of couch surfing.. We have hosted surfers at our house in Sydney, and it was great fun! When we are looking for a couch, we don't want to just sleep and say hi and goodbye, we would like to get the chance to meet the hosts and get to know them over a glass of wine (or equivalent!) :)

Nos encanta el idea de couchsurfing... Unos surfers se quedaron con nosotros, y era muchos divertidos! Cuándo se buscamos un couch, no queremos sólo para dormir y decir hola y adiós, nos gustaría llegar a conocer a los anfitriones y la vida en su país .. estamos contenta a cocinar una comida y practicar nuestro español!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We had a lovely couple from France come to stay for few days in Sydney. We made a dinner for us all on their first night and shared travelling stories over some wine.. It was great!

We have also surfed a couch in the USA, which was an amazingly good experience :)

Interests

Travelling, socialising, fitness stuff (running / swimming / cycling), dragon boat racing,(i have represented Australia and have been a coach of a local club.)

We've also partied a lot in our time, and still enjoy a good dance at a festival every now and then.. although it seems to take longer to recover these days - we must be getting old!
